Abstract

AbstrakPerubahan fisik wanita berusia 40 tahun ke atas membuat wanita mengalami perubahan fungsi pernapasan dan keseimbangan tubuh. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh dan perbedaan senam hatha yoga terhadap pernapasan dan keseimbangan tubuh terhadap wanita 40-60 tahun di Sanggar Senam Ganep Surakarta. Metode penelitian menggunakan true experiment dengan pre test dan post test. Subjek penelitian adalah wanita di kelas senam hatha yoga di Sanggar Senam Ganep Surakarta berusia 40-60 tahun dengan populasi 49 orang, dan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling diperoleh 25 orang sampel. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes kapasitas pernapasan dan functional reach test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji beda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengujian awal, pernapasan (1496,15 cm3 kelompok eksperimen dan 1300 cm3 kelompok kontrol) dan keseimbangan tubuh (9,76 cm kelompok eksperimen dan 8,58 cm kelompok kontrol), setelah treatment hatha yoga, pernapasan (1592,31 cm3 kelompok eksperimen dan 1304,16 cm3 kelompok kontrol) dan keseimbangan tubuh (8,30 cm kelompok eksperimen dan 8,41 cm kelompok kontrol) meningkat dengan signifikansi <0,05, sedangkan pernapasan dan keseimbangan tubuh kelompok kontrol tidak memiliki perbedaan dengan tes awal dengan signifikansi >0,05. Simpulan, senam hatha yoga berpengaruh positif dan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pernapasan wanita dan keseimbangan tubuh wanita 40-60 tahun.Kata Kunci: pernapasan, keseimbangan, hatha yoga Abstract Physical changes in women aged 40 years and over make a woman changes the function of respiration and balance the body. Objective: To know the influence and difference of hatha yoga gymnastics on body breathing and body balance 40-60 years at Ganep Surakarta Sanggar Senam. The research method used is true experiment with pre test and post test. Subjects in this study were participants who enrolled in the gymnastic class of hatha yoga at Sanggar Senam Ganep Surakarta who was aged 40-60 years and female sex with a population of 49 people, using purposive sampling technique obtained 25 people as a sample. The instrument of this research is the test of breathing capacity and functional reach test. Data analysis technique is using different test. The results showed generally in the initial test, (1496.15 cm3 in the experimental group and 1300 cm3 in the control group) and body balance (9.76 cm in the experimental group and 8.58 cm in the control group) Which was low, but after treatment of hatha yoga, respiration (1592.31 cm3 in the experimental group and 1304.16 cm3 in the control group) and body balance (8.30 cm in the experimental group and 8.41 cm in the control group) Increased with significance <0.05, while respiration and balance of body of control group did not differ from at the time of initial test with significance> 0,05. Research conclusions, Hatha yoga exercise has positive effect and can to improve on women's breathing and the balance of female body 40-60 years.Keywords: breathing, balance, hatha yoga
