Abstract

For children, playing is the most enjoyable activity. Playing while learning is more useful. The game designed here is an introduction to animal and habitat board game for children aged 4-5 years. A board game is a game played on a board and aims to introduce various kinds of animals and their habitats. The methods used in this design are literature study, pictorial study, and interview study. With the number of animals and habitats introduced, this board game can be played by 1-2 children to make it more effective. Board games are played by sorting and matching animals and their habitats. According to a psychological perspective, the process of playing the board game can train children's motor skills, especially hand movements when taking various animal shapes and can also train children's sensory on the material used in the animal media, namely acrylic.Keywords: Board Game, Kids Education, Animals, Graphic Design------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Bagi anak, bermain adalah aktivitas yang paling menyenangkan. Bermain sambil belajar merupakan hal yang lebih bermanfaat. Permainan yang dirancang di sini yaitu board game pengenalan hewan dan habitatnya untuk anak usia 4-5 tahun. Board game adalah permainan yang dimainkan di atas papan dan bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan berbagai macam hewan dan habitatnya. Metode yang dilakukan dalam perancangan ini yaitu studi literatur, studi pictorial, dan studi wawancara. Dengan jumlah hewan dan habitat yang diperkenalkan, board game ini dapat dimainkan oleh 1-2 orang anak agar lebih efektif. Board game dimainkan dengan cara memilah dan mencocokkan hewan dan habitatnya. Menurut perspektif psikologi, proses memainkan board game tersebut dapat melatih motorik anak, khususnya pergerakan tangan saat mengambil berbagai macam bentuk hewan dan juga dapat melatih sensorik anak terhadap bahan yang digunakan pada media hewan tersebut yaitu akrilik.Kata Kunci: Board Game, Edukasi Anak, Hewan, Desain Grafis
