<![CDATA[Abstract: Gout Arthritis is a type of rheumatic diseases associated with impaired acid kinetic namely hyperuricemia. Hyperuricemia is a uric acid levels in the blood above normal, according to data from the District Health Center East Tahuna. Regency of Sangihe mentioned in the period January 2014 to March 2014 there were 143 patients with Gout Arthritis. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on knowledge and attitude of Gout Arthritis clients in health center East Tahuna. The research method used was a pre-experimental design with "One group Pre test post test design" in one group, the population in this study were all patients of Gout Arthritis who visit the Health Center East TahunaSangihe regency, with a samples 45 persons. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire, the data obtained were processed using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test with a significance level (α) = 0.05. The results showed there is an effect of health education on knowledge and attitude of Gout Arthritis clientsin the health center East Tahuna, based on Wilcoxon statistical test obtained ï² = 0.000, which meant ï² was smaller than α (0.05). The conclusion of this research there was a effect of health education on knowledge and attitude of Gout Arthritis client’s in health center East Tahuna, Regency of Sangihe. Keyword: Health education, Knowledge, attitude, Gout Arthritis Client Abstrak: Gout Arthritis merupakan jenis penyakit reumatik berhubungan dengan gangguan kinetik asam yaitu hiperurisemia. Hiperurisemia adalah peningkatan kadar asam urat dalam darah diatas normal, Berdasarkan data dari Puskesmas Tahuna Timur Kab. Sangihe menyebutkan dalam kurun waktu Januari 2014 sampai dengan Maret 2014 terdapat sebanyak 143 pasien penderita Gout Arthritis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyuluhan kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap klien Gout Arthritis di Puskesmas Tahuna Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-eksperimen dengan desain “One group pre-post test design†dalam satu kelompok, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien penderita Gout Arthritis yang berkunjung di Puskesmas Tahuna Timur Kab Sangihe, dengan jumlah sampel 45 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah kuisioner, data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test dengan tingkat kemaknaan (α) = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada pengaruh penyuluhan kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap klien Gout Arthritis di Puskesmas Tahuna Timur, dimana berdasarkan hasil uji statistik Wilcoxon diperoleh nilai ï²= 0.000, yang berarti nilai ï² lebih kecil dari α (0,05). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh penyuluhan kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap klien Gout Arthritis di Puskesmas Tahuna Timur Kab. Sangihe.
