Penilaian Bencana Kekeringan dan Strategi Penyediaan Air Bersih di Wilayah Utara Kabupaten Lumajang

Abstract

Kekeringan yang terjadi di wilayah utara Kabupaten Lumajang berdampak terhadap kerawanan ketersediaan air bersih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan penilaian bencana kekeringan dan merancang strategi penyediaan air bersih di wilayah utara Kabupaten Lumajang. Pennilaian bencana kekeringan menggunakan metode Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) dengan input data curah hujan mulai dari tahun 2000 sampai 2019. Sebaran ancaman bencana kekeringan dianalisis secara spasial berbasis sistem informasi geografis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa indeks kekeringan (SPI-12) memiliki kesesuaian dengan kondisi kekeringan yang terjadi di lapangan. Kesesuaian indeks kekeringan dianalisis berdasarkan data jumlah pengiriman (dropping) air bersih ke lokasi penelitian. Kekeringan ekstrem terjadi pada bulan September 2018 dengan nilai indeks kekeringan (SPI-12) sebesar -2,33, kondisi ini memiliki kesesuaian dengan kondisi kekeringan di lapangan yang ditunjukkan dari jumlah dropping air. Strategi mitigasi dampak kekeringan dalam penyediaan air bersih diantaranya: membangun embung atau waduk untuk menampung air hujan di Kecamatan Ranuyoso dan Randuagung, sedangkan strategi penyediaan air bersih di Kecamatan : Padang, Klakah, Kedungjajang dan Gucialit dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan potensi air tanah atau sumur bor.The drought that occurred in the northern region of Lumajang regency impacts the reduced availability of clean water. This study aims to assess drought disasters and determine strategies for providing clean water supply in the northern region of Lumajang Regency. Drought assessment using Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) with precipitation data from 2000 to 2019. The drought outputs were spatially plotted using geographic information systems. The results showed that the drought index (SPI-12) complies with drought conditions that occur in the field. The suitability of the drought index is analyzed based on the number of deliveries (dropping) of clean water to the site or location. Extremely dry occurred in 2018, with the highest index value (SPI-12) of -2.33 in September 2018. This condition has conformity to the drought conditions in the field indicated by the amount of dropping water. Drought mitigation strategies in providing clean water include building retention basins or reservoirs to accommodate rainwater in Ranuyoso and Randuagung subdistricts. Meanwhile, the strategy of providing clean water in Padang, Klakah, Kedungjajang, and Gucialit subdistricts is carried out by utilizing the potential of groundwater or drill wells.
