<![CDATA[Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana hasil belajar matematika siswa yang menggunakan metode pair check pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. (2) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana hasil belajar matematika siswa yang menggunakan metode ekspositori pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. (3) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan metode pair check dengan metode ekspositori pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar dengan menggunakan metode pair check dengan metode ekspositori pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar yang terdiri dari 9 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 288 orang dan yang menjadi sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII6 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII7 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan masing-masing jumlah siswa terdiri atas 32 orang. Untuk memperoleh data tentang perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan metode pair check dengan metode ekspositori digunakan tes hasil belajar. Daya pembeda item terendah adalah 0,25 (cukup) dan tertinggi 0,56 (baik). Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan kualitas tes baik dan dapat digunakan sebagai pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini. Dari hasil data penelitian ini diperoleh hasil uji normalitas dengan menggunakan uji Liliefors ditemukan bahwa data hasil kedua kelompok berdistribusi normal. Dari∝hasil uji homogen kelas memiliki varians yang homogen dengan menggunakan uji F. Uji homogenitas Fhitung = 1,20 Ftabel = 2,35 dengan taraf kepercayaan = 0,01 artinya kedua kelompok sampel homogen karena Fhitung tidak berada pada daerah kritik.Kata Kunci : Hasil Belajar, Metode Pair Check, Metode Ekspositori, Sistem Persamaan Linier Dua Variabel Abstract. The formulation of the problem in this study are: (1) How are the mathematics learning outcomes of students using the pair check method on the material system of two-variable linear equations in class VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar? (2) How are the results of students' mathematics learning using the expository method on the material system of two-variable linear equations in class VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar? (3) How is the difference between students' mathematics learning outcomes using the pair check method and the expository method in the two-variable linear equation system material? This study aims: (1) To find out how the results of students learning mathematics using the pair check method on the material system of two-variable linear equations in class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. (2) To find out how the mathematics learning outcomes of students who use the expository method on the material system of two-variable linear equations in class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. (3) To find out how the differences in student learning outcomes using the pair check method and the expository method in the two-variable linear equation system material in class VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. The hypothesis of this study is that there are significant differences between learning outcomes using the pair check method and the expository method on the material system of two-variable linear equations in class VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar which consisted of 9 classes with 288 students and the samples of this study were students of class VIII6 as an experimental class and class VIII7 as a control class with each number of students consisting of 32 people. To obtain data about differences in student learning outcomes using the pair check method with the expository method the learning outcomes test is used. The lowest distinguishing items were 0.25 (enough) and the highest 0.56 (good). Thus it can be said that the quality of the test is good and can be used as a data collector in this study. From the results of this research data obtained the results of normality tests using the Liliefors test found that the data from the two groups were normally distributed. From the results of homogeneous test classes have a homogeneous variance using the F test. Homogeneity test Fcount = 1.20 Ftable = 2.35 with a level of confidence = 0.01 means that both sample groups are homogeneous because Fcount is not in the critical area.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Pair Check Method, Expository Method, Equation System Linear Two Variables]]>
