Dari analisis masalah tersebut dibutuhkan system informasi yang membantu mahasiswa untuk mendapatkan nilai dengan mudah Dalam kasus ini sistem informasi yang dikembangkan adalah sistem informasi Nilai Mahasiswa berbasis SMS. Informasi yang bisa diakses antara lain informasi nilai, dan informasi registrasi, sehingga mahasiswa atau user mendapat informasi lebih mudah cepat dan efisien. Di sisi lain Informasi yang bersifat mobilitas dan portable, saat ini sangat diharapkan. Teknologi tanpa kabel telah dan terus berkembang dengan pesat. Teknologi ini merupakan pelunang untuk dikembangkannya berbagai sistem informasi. Pemanfaatan sms sebagai saana layanan informasi dapat dibuat sebuah basis data yang bisa memberikan layanan informasi kepada mahasiswa atau user. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat aplikasi SMS Gateway untuk sistem Informasi Nilai Mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah (STIT) Muhammadiyah Pacitan.
