<![CDATA[This study is discussed about sharpening language skills, especially reading skill not only in a second language but also in a foreign language (Arabic). The focus of this study is to analyze fourth gradersâ ability level of elementary school (SD). The results showed that the implementation of Arabic language learning and the development of reading comprehension ability of SD Muhammadiyah held in Kriyan Kalinyamatan in the fourth grade generally go well in terms of various aspects. Based on fourth graders reading ability is diverse. Some are reading Arabic text smoothly, but some are still doing uneasily. From the aspect of studentsâ reading comprehension, they are still at the level of literal and interpretative reading, not in the level of critical and creative reading. There are inhibiting and supporting aspects reading comprehensed implementation, both from the aspect of learners and the subject teachers
