Prejudice and claims of universities as centers and seeds of radicalism emerged after the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) released its research results. Although it needs to be tested methodologically, the research presented by BNPT creates a "politics of fear" after explicitly mentioning that seven well-known state universities are exposed to radical ideology.This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach to data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses domain analysis techniques with data reduction steps, data display, and verification. The data validity test was conducted through credibility test, transferability test, dependability test, and confirmability test.After conducting research on radical understanding, it shows that there are seeds of potential for radicalism that occur among students of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, even though they do not join organizations with radical views. Based on the data obtained regarding indicators of religious moderation, it was found that some students had very low understanding of national commitment, openness/tolerance, anti-violence, and accommodated local culture. UIN Raden Fatah Palembang's Policy in Composing Curriculum, 1) Strengthening character education through Citizenship Education and Pancasila Education, Islamic Religious Education, Character Education, Multicultural Education, 2) Religious student organizations (Ormawa) are ready to become agents of moderation through the National Wirakarya Camp, 3) PBAK, Iftitah Lectures, Public Lectures, and Seminars in Strengthening Religious Moderation in Higher Education, 4) Established a Religious Moderation House at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang.
