Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini membahas relasi Al Washliyah dengan politik di Indonesia kontemporer. Secara khusus, artikel ini mengkaji sejarah dan ideologi Al Washliyah, sikap Al Washliyah terhadap negara Indonesia, dan hubungan Al Washliyah dan politik, khususnya politisasi agama. Studi ini merupakan studi kepustakaan. Data diperoleh dari dokumen organisasi yang kemudian dianalisis dengan metode analisis isi. Studi ini mengajukan temuan bahwa Al Washliyah adalah salah satu organisasi Islam terbesar di Indonesia yang berdedikasi bagi umat, bangsa dan negara dalam bidang pendidikan, dakwah dan amal sosial. Al Washliyah merupakan organisasi Islam yang turut merebut, memperjuangkan dan mengisi kemerdekaan Indonesia. Al Washliyah sama sekali tidak abai dalam bidang politik, meskipun tidak pernah menjadi partai politik. Meskipun bukan suatu partai politik, Al Washliyah memiliki ideologi politik tertentu yang menjadi arah perjuangan organisasi. Studi ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi kajian gerakan Islam di Indonesia kontemporer. Kata Kunci: Al Washliyah, agama, politik, Indonesia Abstract: This article discusses Al Washliyah's relationship with politics in contemporary Indonesia. In particular, this article examines the history and ideology of Al Washliyah, the attitude of Al Washliyah towards the Indonesian state, and the relationship between Al Washliyah and politics, particularly the politicization of religion. This study is a literature study. The data was obtained from organizational documents which were then analyzed using content analysis method. This study proposes the finding that Al Washliyah is one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia which is dedicated to the people, nation and state in the fields of education, da'wah and social charity. Al Washliyah is an Islamic organization that took part in seizing, fighting for and filling Indonesia's independence. Al Washliyah was not at all ignorant in the political field, even though it was never a political party. Although not a political party, Al Washliyah has a certain political ideology that is the direction of the organization's struggle. This study is expected to contribute to the study of the Islamic movement in contemporary Indonesia. Keywords: Al Washliyah, religion, politics, Indonesia
