This study aims to describe people’s perceptions of the spelling of Indonesian words in the 2020 Ministry of Religion Standard Translation of the Qur’an. This research uses a qualitative type of research with a descriptive approach. This research uses a questionnaire instrument with respondent criteria have been determined by the researcher. Based on the results of the questionnaire, all respondent thought that the Indonesian vocabulary in the grammar translation of the Qur’an was standard. Respondents also stated that they didn’t agree with several Indonesian language which could lead to other meanings when returned to the source language namely Arabic.
