PENERAPAN KURIKULUM KAWAI PADA PEMBELAJARAN MUSIK KELAS BASIC COURSE DI WISMA MUSIK RHAPSODY SURABAYA

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini ialah kecerdasan musik yang akan berkembang dengan pengasahan dan bimbingan, salah satunya dengan mengikuti kursus musikyang dilakukan sedini mungkin. Salah satu lembaga kursus musik, Wisma MusikRhapsody membuka kelas Basic Course pembelajaran musik bagi anak usia dinidengan menerapkan kurikulum KAWAI merupakan sebuah usaha pengembangandiri dalam mengasah kecerdasan musikal. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, obyek penelitian yaitupembelajaran musik kelas Basic Course dan subyek penelitian anak usia 3-4tahun yang mengikuti kelas Basic Course. Teknik pengumpulan data yaituobservasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Validitas data untuk memperoleh datayang sahih menggunakan triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik dan triangulasiwaktu. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pembelajaran kelas BasicCourse yaitu kelas belajar dilaksanakan berkelompok terdiri dari maksimal 6murid dengan Mis Jessica sebagai guru. Fasilitas media belajar yaitu alat musikyang didistribusi dari KAWAI. Model pembelajaran yang dilakukan denganModel BCCT (Beyond Centre and Circle Time) yang artinya sentra dan saatlingkaran serta menggunakan model bercerita, demonstrasi, latihan dan bermainperan dengan menggunakan buku panduan Hello Music Vol.1 dan Vol.2 disertaikaset lagu yang sesuai dengan isi buku. Dari pembahasan tersebut dapat disimpulkan: pertama, pembelajaranmusik kelas Basic Course diterapkan di Wisma Musik Rhapsody mulai tahun2013 untuk anak usia 3-4 tahun. Ke dua, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilakukansesuai dengan standart kurikulum KAWAI yang dikembangkan oleh guru. Ketiga, hasil belajar yang tercapai ada dalam 3 kategori yaitu Sangat Baik, Baik danButuh Perbaikan. Kemampuan sangat baik yaitu abaka telah mampu membacanot, mengenal simbol musik, mampu memainkan lagu dengan alat musik pianodisertai penjarian dan posisi tubuh yang benar serta mampu berekspresi denganbaik. Kata kunci: pembelajaran musik, kurikulum KAWAI, kelas Basic Course. The background of this research is intelligent of music smart is developed by the presence of drilling and counseling, one of wich is by attending courses asearly as possible. One of wich music course, Rhapsody Music School open BasicCourse Class the music learning for early-age children using KAWAI curriculumis the attempt of self-development in terms of musical intelligence. This study uses qualitative approach with basic class music learning as theobject and 3-4 year old children attending the Basic Course Class as the subject.The technique that were used to the data are observations interviews anddocumentations. Data validation to obtain valid date was done by source,technique and time triangulations. The result of the study acquired from Basic Course Class learning activitiesshowed that the class was run by groups of maximum 6 students with Miss Jessicaas the teacher. Learning media that were used was the instruments distributed byKAWAI. The learning model used BCCT model meaning that centre and eyele withthe use of story-telling, demonstrating, practicing and play-roling models forearly-age children as stated in Hello Music Vol.1 and Vol.2 manual along withproper song cassettes. The discussion obtained a conclusion that: firsty, Basic Course music learninghas been implemented in Rhapsody School of Music since 2013 for 3-4 year oldchildren. Secondly, the learning activities were run along with KAWAI curriculumstandard developed by the teacher. Thirdly, the learning outcomes categorized in 3categories : very good, good and need improvement. Very good outcomes wereachieved by students who can read nots, recognize musical symbols, playing songwith piano with proper body and finger position and having suitable expression.
