MENINGKATKAN KETRAMPILAN MENULIS BERITA BAHASA INGGRIS MENGGUNAKAN METODE PARTISIPATORI MELALUI TEKNIK ATTL (AMATI, TANYA, TULIS, LAPORKAN)

Abstract

This purpose of this study is to determine the use of the Participatory model with the ATTL technique to improve the skills of writing news texts in the field of English study Class XII IPA 1 MAN 1 Cilacap. The research method uses a Classroom Action Research approach with two cycles Based on the results of data analysis in the pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II, it is known that there is an increase in mastery obtained by students in learning to write news texts. The result of completeness in the pre-cycle is 66.67% with an average value of 67.83 in the sufficient category. The completeness of the test in the first cycle was 70.83% with an average value of 74.5 in the good category. In cycle II, students' completeness reached 87.49% with an average score of 76.8 and included in the good category. There was an increase from pre-cycle to cycle I by 4.16% and an increase in the average score of 6.67 points, while from cycle I to cycle II it was 16.66% and an increase in the average score was 2.3 points. Learning to write news texts using the participatory method with the ATTL technique is able to change the behavior of class XII IPA 1 students at MAN 1 Cilacap, Cilacap Regency. Based on this percentage, it shows that learning to write news items using the participatory method of the ATTL technique can improve the activities and outcomes of the teaching and learning process, especially in English lessons. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan model Partisipatori dengan Teknik ATTL untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan menulis teks berita pada bidang study bahasa inggris Kelas XII IPA 1 MAN 1 Cilacap Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan dua siklus Berdasarkan hasil analisis data pada prasiklus, siklus I dan siklus II diketahui adanya peningkatan ketuntasan yang diperoleh siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Hasil ketuntasan pada prasiklus sebesar 66,67% dengan nilai rata-rata 67,83 dalam kategori cukup. Ketuntasan tes pada siklus I sebesar 70,83% dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 74,5 dalam kategori baik. Pada siklus II, ketuntasan siswa mencapai 87,49% dengan nilai rata-rata yang dicapai sebesar 76,8 dan termasuk dalam kategori baik. Terjadi peningkatan dari prasiklus ke siklus I sebesar 4,16% dan peningkatan nilai rata-rata 6,67 poin sedangkan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 16,66% dan peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 2,3 poin. Pembelajaran menulis teks berita menggunakan metode pastisipatori dengan teknik ATTL mampu mengubah perilaku siswa kelas XII IPA 1 MAN 1 Cilacap Kabupaten Cilacap. Berdasarkan prosentasi tersebut menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran menulis teks berita (news item) dengan menggunakan metode partisipatori teknik ATTL dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil proses belajar mengajar terutama pada pelajaran bahasa inggris.
