IMPROVING QUALITY OF CYCLING TOURISM DESTINATIONS AND PITSTOPS IN YOGYAKARTA CITY DURING POST COVID-19 ERA

Abstract

Abstrak: Masa pandemi Covid-19 di awal tahun 2020 telah membangkitkan kegiatan bersepeda menjadi sebuah tren. Tujuan dari kegiatan adalah melakukan evaluasi terkait dengan kesiapan destinasi dan penempatan pitstop pada salah satu rute wisata sepeda, yaitu pada Rute Taman Pintar Taman Budaya, yang mengangkat tema khusus kebudayaan dan keunikan sosial. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah pengurus kampung wisata, pengelola Rute Wisata Sepeda, perangkat kampung dan masyarakat khususnya di Kampung Wisata Dewa Bronto Brontokusuman. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui 4 tahapan: survei lapangan dilanjutkan dengan wawancara terhadap narasumber/pelaku yang terlibat dengan sepeda wisata, focus group discussion (FGD) dengan para stakeholders dan terakhir adalah perencanaan destinasi dan pitstop berdasarkan hasil wawancara, survei dan evaluasi. Kegiatan dapat terlaksana dengan baik, dapat dinilai dari partisipasi stakeholders dan masyarakat dalam memberikan masukan terkait kegiatan sepeda wisata, kesiapan destinasi dan pitstop, serta memberikan masukan pada perencanaan. Hasil kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan lokasi, kesiapan pengelola kampung wisata, serta meningkatkan kualitas wisata sepeda sesuai dengan tema yang telah direncanakan.Abstract: Covid-19 pandemic at the beginning of 2020 has made cycling a trend. The purpose of this activity is to evaluate the readiness of destinations and placement of pitstops on one of the bicycle tourism routes, namely the Taman Pintar Cultural Park Route, which has a special theme of culture and social uniqueness. Targets of this activity are the management of tourist village/kampung and the Bicycle Tour Route, the village administrator and the community especially in the Dewa Bronto Brontokusuman Tourism Village. The activity was carried out in 4 stages: field survey followed by interviews with resource persons/actors involved with bicycle tours, focus group discussions (FGD) with stakeholders and finally destination planning and pitstops based on the results of interviews, surveys and evaluations. Activities can be carried out well. It can be assessed from the participation of stakeholders and the community in providing input related to bicycle tourism activities, readiness of destination and pitstops, as well as providing input on planning. The results of this activity are expected to improve the quality of location services, the readiness of village tourism managers, and improve the quality of bicycle tours in accordance with the planned theme.
