PERBEDAAN PENGGUNAAN SILER BERBAHAN DASAR RESIN DAN MINERAL TRIOXIDE AGGREGATE TERHADAP KERAPATAN OBTURASI SALURAN AKAR

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Obturasi saluran akar bertujuan untuk menutup sistem saluran akar secara tiga dimensi pada saluran akar yang telah dibersihkan, dibentuk, dan didesinfeksi sepenuhnya. sealer saluran akar merupakan bahan yang digunakan untuk mengisi celah kecil pada saluran akar saat obturasi dan meningkatkan kerapatan antara material inti dan dinding saluran akar. Kerapatan obturasi saluran akar terkait langsung dengan penggunaan berbagai macam jenis sealer. Tujuan: Menjelaskan penggunaan sealer berbahan dasar resin dan MTA terhadap kerapatan obturasi saluran akar. Metode: Bersumber dari jurnal, textbooks dan website yang diakses melalui database Google Scholar dan PubMed. Pencarian literatur diseleksi oleh kriteria inklusi berupa tahun terbit 2010 – 2021, menggunakan bahasa Inggris dan Bahasa Indonesia, tersedia artikel lengkap, dan sesuai dengan topik yang dibahas. Literatur dieliminasi dengan kriteria eksklusi berupa tidak menyebutkan spesifikasi bahan, topik kurang relevan, dan tidak menyebutkan metode penelitian. Hasil: Sebanyak 34 referensi yang ditemukan, Setelah dianalisis berdasarkan kriteria inklusi, eksklusi dan pembacaan abstrak yang tersedia, terdapat 14 yang dipilih dan 20 artikel dieksklusi. Setelah 14 jurnal dibaca terdapat 4 artikel di eksklusi berdasarkan kriteria inkulisi dan didapat 10 artikel yang masuk dalam tinjauan integratif. Kesimpulan: Terdapat perbedaan pendapat dari para ahli tentang kekuatan kerapatan antara sealer berbahan dasar resin dan sealer berbahan dasar MTA, tetapi mayoritas para ahli menjelaskan bahwa sealer berbahan dasar resin khususnya AH Plus memiliki kerapatan obturasi saluran akar yang lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan sealer berbahan dasar MTA walaupun perbedaannya tidak terlalu spesifik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara kombinasi larutan irigasi dan material sealer terhadap kebocoran obturasi. Kata kunci: Obturasi Saluran Akar, Sealer Saluran Akar, Sealer Resin, Sealer Mineral Trioxide Aggregate. ABSTRACTBackground: Root canal obturation aims to seal root canal system in three dimensions after being completely cleaned, shaped, and disinfected. Root canal sealer, material used to fill minor discrepancies and voids in obturation and to improve seal between core material and walls of the canal. Density of root canal obturation is directly related to the use various types of sealers. Purpose: To explain the use of resin and MTA-based sealers to obturation density of root canals.  Methods: Based on sources obtained from journals, textbooks, and websites accessed through Google Scholar and PubMed database. The literature search filtered by publication year 2010–2021, the language used English and Bahasa, availability of full article version, and literatures discussing the same or similar to the topic. Some literatures were excluded if they didn’t mention specified material, less relevant, and literature that didn’t discussed its research method. Results: Total of 34 references were found. After being analyzed based on the inclusion, exclusion criteria, and reading available abstract, there were 14 selected and 20 excluded articles. After 14 journals were read, 4 articles excluded based on inclusion criteria and 10 articles found were included in the integrative. Conclusion: There are differences opinion from experts regarding obturation density strength between resin-based sealers and MTA-based sealers, the majority of experts explain that resin-based sealers, especially AH Plus, have better obturation density strength compared to MTA-based sealers, although the difference not very specific. Concluded that there is an effect between the combination of irrigation solution and sealer material on obturation leakage. Keyword: Root Canal Obturation, Root Canal Sealers, Epoxy Resin Sealers, Mineral Trioxide Aggregate Sealer
