KUALITAS BUTIR PERSEPSI MAHASISWA TERHADAP DOSEN PENDIDIKAN MATEMATIKA

Abstract

Data is a key element in a research, so the quality of the data will determine the quality of the research results. The quality of the data is mostly determined by the quality of the instrument items, either in the form of tests and non-test, which is used in the data collection. Therefore, the use of instruments of perception (in the form of questionnaire) in a research is necessary to be assesed for each items. The qualityof instruments are investigated through quantitative and qualitative analysis. Quantitative analysis is in the form of study on the characteristics of the instruments items of perception, namely validity (content and construct validity), level of difficulty, reliability along with one raw measurement. In the instruments item analysis and assisted by the ITEMAN and SPSS program. The study involved 232 students of Mathematics Education, State University of Jakarta in 2010/2011. From the 30 items of perception, it is obtained that a whole items had fulfilled the criteria as a qualified category (good). This instrument has a Cronbach a reliability coefficient of 0.876. The standard measurement instrument for 0,174 perception; so the actual perception scores are on a relatively small range, ie 1,96 (0,174) of the raw scores.Data sebagai unsur utama dalam suatu penelitian, sehingga kualitas data sangat menentukan kualitas hasil penelitian tersebut. Kualitas data sangat ditentukan oleh kualitas butir instrumen, baik berbentuk tes maupun non-tes, yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data. Oleh karenanya, penggunaan instrumen persepsi (berupa angket) dalam penelitian perlu dikaji kualitas setiap butirnya. Kualitas butir instrumen diselidiki melalui analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif berbentuk kajian terhadap karakteristik butir instrumen persepsi, yaitu validitas (validitas isi dan konstruk), daya pembeda, reliabilitas beserta salah baku pengukuran. Dalam analisis butir instrumen dibantu dengan program ITEMAN dan SPSS. Penelitian ini melibatkan 232 mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas Negeri Jakarta pada tahun 2010/2011. Dari 30 butir persepsi, diperoleh keseluruhan butir memenuhi kriteria sebagai butir berkualitas (baik). Instrumen ini memiliki koefisien reliabilitas Cronbach a sebesar 0,876. Salah baku pengukuran instrumen persepsi sebesar 0,174; sehingga skor persepsi sesungguhnya berada pada rentangan yang relative kecil, yakni 1,96 (0,174) dari skor mentah.Kata kunci: daya pembeda, persepsi, reliabilitas, salah baku pengukuran, validitas
