ANALISIS KESALAHAN SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA MATEMATIKA BERDASARKAN PROSEDUR POLYA PADA SISWA KELAS X SMK NEGERI 4 LEWA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2021/2022

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the types of errors and the causes of errors made by students in solving math story problems. This research method is a qualitative method with this type of research descriptive. data collection is done by observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were students of class X SMK Negeri 4 Lewa with a total of 18 students. The sample of this research is 6 students. the material used is a system of linear equations with three variables. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and data validity (triangulation). based on the results of the study and the validity of the data, it can be concluded in the form of the percentage of types of errors based on the Polya procedure, namely the percentage of errors in understanding the problem (4.47%), errors in planning (16.41%), errors carrying out plans (35.82%) and errors checking again results that. obtained (43.28%). the causes of students making mistakes are students who are not careful, students are too hasty, students do not understand the meaning of the questions, students do not practice questions, students do not use time well, students are not confident and students do not understand using methods or formula Keywords: Error Analysis, Polya Procedure, Material System of Linear Equations Three Variables. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya jenis kesalahan dan penyebab kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Metode penelitian ini metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian ini deskriptif. Pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 4 Lewa dengan jumlah siswa 18 orang siswa. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 6 siswa. materi yang digunakann adalah sistem persamaan linier tiga variabel. Teknik analisis datanya menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan keabsahan data (triangulasi). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan keabsahan data dapat disimpulkan berupa persentase jenis kesalahan berdasarkan Prosedur Polya yaitu presentase kesalahan memahami masalah (4,47%), kesalahan menyusun rencana (16,41%), kesalahan melaksanakan rencana (35,82%) dan kesalahan memeriksa kembali hasil yang diperoleh (43,28%). Penyebab siswa melakukan kesalahan adalah siswa kurang teliti, siswa terlalu terburu-buru, siswa belum paham dengan maksud soal, siswa kurang berlatih soal-soal, siswa kurang memanfaatkan waktu dengan baik, siswa tidak percaya diri dan siswa belum paham menggunakan metode atau rumus.
