Abstract

ABSTRAK - PT Semen Indonesia Pabrik Tuban merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang memproduksi semen dengan kapasitas produksi lebih dari 15 juta ton per tahun. Bahan baku utama pembuat semen sebanyak 80% ialah batugamping dan 20% bahan tambahan lain. Dengan kadar batugamping yang berbeda-beda pada tiap front penambangan batugamping, kualitas batugamping dibagi menjadi tiga yaitu high grade, medium grade dan low grade. Dengan batasan high grade (CaO 54%-62,41%), medium grade (CaO 52%-53,99%) dan low grade (CaO 0%-51,99%). Untuk mengetahui kadar CaO, perusahaan telah melakukan pemboran eksplorasi dan pengujian laboratorium hasil coring, sedangkan untuk produksi harian perusahaan melakukan sampling harian dengan mengambil sampel dari hasil cutting pemboran yang dibawa ke laboratorium quality control untuk diuji. Dengan kadar yang berbeda-beda dan kebutuhan plant menetapkan kadar CaO ≥ 50%, sangat perlu diperhatikan penentuan kadar rata-rata batugamping untuk proses mixing batugamping pada proses produksi semen.Kata kunci: kadar, quality control, mixing ABSTRACT - PT Semen Indonesia Tuban Factory is one of the companies that produce cement with a production capacity of more than 15 million tons/year. The main raw material for cement production are 80% limestone and 20% other additives. The limestone has different qualities from each front the quarry limestone. The limestone qualities are divided into 3 qualities, namely high grade, medium grade and low grade. The high grade constraint (CaO 54%-62,41%), medium grade (CaO 52% -53,99%) and low grade (CaO 0%-51,99%). The company has conducted the exploration drilling and sample testing in laboratory and for daily production it conducts daily sampling activities through samples from cutting drilling which carried to the quality control laboratory for CaO grade test. The different grades and based on plant needs to set CaO grade ≥ 50% so that it is very important to consider in determining the average level of limestone for the mixing process in cement production process.Keywords: grade, quality control, mixing
