PENGARUH ZAT PENGATUR TUMBUH DAN LAMA PERENDAMAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PEMBUNGAAN TANAMAN BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.)

Abstract

Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are very much needed by the people of Indonesia, shallots are one of the high-value commodities and many farmers in Indonesia are working on them. Gibberellins as growth hormones in plants that affect genetic properties, such as being able to accelerate seed germination, shoot growth, stem elongation, leaf growth, and stimulate flowering also able to stimulate flowering induction. This study aims to determine the effect of growth regulators and soaking time on the growth and yield of shallots. This research was carried out in the experimental field of the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) for the Development of Rice and Palawija Seeds, Singosari District, Malang Regency, East Java. This study is a factorial experiment which was arranged based on a Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor was PGR which consisted of 2 treatment levels, namely GA3 with a concentration of 40 ppm and Paclobutrazol with a concentration of 200 ppm. The second factor was the immersion time which consisted of 3 levels of treatment, namely the immersion time of 15 minutes, 30 minutes and 45 minutes. The results of analysis of variance showed that the immersion treatment of PGR GA3 had a very significant effect on the age of the first flower, while PGR Paclobutrazol had a very significant effect on the number of umbels per clump. The immersion time treatment had no significant effect on all observation parameters. There was no interaction between PGR and immersion time on all observation parameters.
