<![CDATA[Abstract. There are many young people who are affected by dangerous to life-threatening effects of drugs, in Buahbatu District, Bandung City. The aim of the study was to know the participation and knowledge of youth in Buahbatu sub-district on efforts to tackle the impact of drugs. This research method is descriptive quantitative, using questionnaires and pre-tests on respondents who were carried out in Community Service activities at the Faculty of Medicine, Unisba, with socialization activities on the Impact of Drugs in collaboration with KNPI in Buahbatu District on June 22, 2021. The results showed the results of the pre-test showed that most of the participants were male (53%), with the highest education being junior high school and most of the participants were members of the Youth Organization (57%). The results of the pre-test on the impact/danger of drugs on the health of the body of all respondents already knew (100% of the respondents' answers were correct). The most participants who are members of the youth organization Karang Taruna. In conclusion, youth participation in the youth organization needs to be maintained and knowledge alone is not enough to change behavior, it is necessary to think about other efforts to overcome the effects of drugs in Buahbatu sub-district.Abstrak. Kondisi pemuda yang terkena dampak berbahaya sampai mengancam jiwa akibat Narkoba saat ini masih banyak ditemukan, termasuk di Kecamatan Buah batu kota Bandung. Tujuan penelitian untuk melihat partisipasi dan pengetahuan pemuda di kecamatan Buahbatu terhadap upaya penanggunalangan dampak Narkoba. Metode penelitian ini kuantitatif deskriptif, menggunakan kuesioner dan pre test pada responden yang dilakukan pada kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat akultas Fedokteran Unisba, dengan kegiatan sosialisasi Dampak Narkoba bekerjasama dengan KNPI di Kecamatan Buah batu tgl 22 juni 2021. Diperoleh hasil bahwa kegiatan ini belum diminati oleh pemuda di kecamatan buah batu, hasil dari pre test menunjukkan bahwa peserta sebagian besar laki-laki (53%), dengan pendidikan terbanyak SMP dan sebagian besar peserta adalah anggota Karang taruna (57%). Hasil pre test tentang dampak/ bahaya narkoba bagi kesehatan tubuh seluruh responden sudah mengetahui (100% jawaban responden benar). Partisipasi responden terbanyak adalah yang aktif di oragnisasi Karang taruna. Sebagai kesimpulan partisipasi pemuda dalam wadah Karang Taruna perlu dipertahankan dan pengetahuan saja tidak cukup untuk mengubah perilaku perlu dipikirkan upaya lain untuk menanggulangi dampak narkoba di kecamatan Buah batu.]]>
