The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit mobility in various countries, especially in the education sector, has led to a loss of learning (loss of effective learning for students) especially in preparing 21st-century skills (creativity, critical, collaborative, and communicative) in children. The existence of a curriculum option policy for educational units is one solution so that education continues to run effectively and efficiently. Curriculum options are the 2013 curriculum, the emergency curriculum, and the prototype curriculum. The research method uses library research, research is reviewed through reference books, scientific articles, and supporting documents. In addition, it is supported by looking at relevant previous studies. The existence of a new curriculum policy, namely the 2022 curriculum or prototype curriculum applied in educational units, especially PAUD has characteristics that are adapted to current needs in mitigating loss learning and facilitating 21st-century skills in children and based on the results of the previous curriculum evaluation. These characteristics include building the character of Pancasila students, focusing on essential materials, and flexibility in curriculum design. Abstrak Wabah pandemi Covid-19 yang melanda mobilitas diberbagai negara khususnya bidang pendidikan mengakibatkan terjadinya loss learning (kehilangan pembelajaran efektif bagi peserta didik) khususnya dalam menyiapkan 21st century skill (kreativitas, kritis, kolaboratif, dan komunikatif) pada anak. Adanya kebijakan opsi kurikulum terhadap satuan pendidikan menjadi salah satu solusi agar pendidikan tetap berjalan dengan efektif dan efisien. Opsi kurikulum tersebut yaitu kurikulum 2013, kurikulum darurat, dan kurikulum prototipe. Metode penelitian menggunakan library research, penelitian dikaji melalui referensi buku-buku, artikel ilmiah, serta dokumen yang mendukung. Selain itu, ditunjang dengan melihat penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya yang relevan. Adanya kebijakan kurikulum baru yaitu kurikulum 2022 atau kurikulum prototipe yang diterapkan dalam satuan pendidikan khususnya PAUD memiliki karakteristik yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan masa kini dalam mitigasi loss learning serta memfasilitasi 21st century skill pada anak yang dilandasi dari hasil evaluasi kurikulum sebelumnya. Karakteristik tersebut mencakup pembentukan karakter pelajar Pancasila, fokus terhadap materi essensial, dan fleksibilitas perancangan kurikulum.
