Abstract

Artikel ini membahas hubungan kualitas guru terhadap pendidikan bangsa . Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dimana data diperoleh dari sumber kepustakaan yang dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan normative, doktrin Islam, sejarah Islam, dan Pendidikan Islam. Kajian artikel ini menemukan peran dan posisi guru secara historis sangat menentukan kualitas pendidikan suatu bangsa. Kualitas guru bahkan sangat menentukan perkembangan peradaban suatu bangsa dan negara. Berdasarkan temuan-temuan ini, artikel ini menegaskan bahwa kualitas guru baik keterampilan, moral, pemikiran, dan pengetahuan mesti menjadi landasan utama dalam upaya memajukan pendidikan dan peradaban suatu bangsa.   This article discusses the relationship between teacher quality and the nation's education. The method used is descriptive qualitative, where data is obtained from literary sources which are analyzed using a normative approach, Islamic doctrine, Islamic history, and Islamic Education. The study of this article finds that the role and position of teachers historically determines the quality of a nation's education. The quality of teachers even determines the development of civilization of a nation and state. Based on these findings, this article emphasizes that teacher quality in terms of skills, morals, thinking, and knowledge must be the main foundation in efforts to advance the education and civilization of a nation.
