Abstract

AbstractCovid-19 can become more dangerous if it is suffered by the elderly and they have congenital (comorbid) diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, heart, asthma, cancer, and kidney failure. In Papua, 14% of the elderly population has received the Covid-19 vaccine. The novelty of this study is that it examines the factors that affect the completeness of the Covid-19 vaccine in people with non-communicable diseases. This study aims to determine the factors influencing people with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) to receive the Covid-19 vaccine fully. This type of research uses cross-sectional surveys. The sample was 100 respondents, with NCDs took using by Accidental Sampling technique. Data analysis using Pearson correlation test, Spearman correlation test, and multiple linear regression test with 95% Confidence Interval / a= 0.05. The result that there are perceived benefit factors (p=0.000), risk perception (p=0.000), trust (p=0.000), and attitude (p=0.000) are factors related to the intention of NCD sufferers to vaccinate against Covid-19. A multivariate analysis found that the attitude factor (p=0.000) was the most influential in the choice of NCD sufferers to vaccinate against Covid-19. In conclusion, the factor that most influences the intention of NCD sufferers to vaccinate against Covid-19 is the attitude factor. Keywords: Elderly; Non-communicable Diseases; Covid-19 vaccine.
