<![CDATA[Antibacterial substances are substances that can inhibit the growth of bacteria by interfering with the metabolism of harmful microbes. Plants that have antibacterial activity include star fruit (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) and betel leaf (Piper betle). The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial activity of the combination of star fruit extract (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) and betel leaf (Piper betle) against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This research was conducted using the hydro extraction method at temperatures of 40,50,60, and 90°C and activity testing using the disc diffusion method with extract concentrations of 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100 %. The results showed that the combination had optimum inhibitory activity at 50° with an inhibition diameter of 19.75 mm for Staphylococcus aureus and 11.75 mm for Escherichia coli.]]>
