Penerapan Model Search, Solve, Create, Share (SSCS) Berorientasi Masalah untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan model SSCS berorientasi masalah, untuk menganalisis perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada siswa yang diterapkan model SSCS berorientasi masalah dan yang tidak diterapkan, dan untuk menganalisis respon siswa terhadap penerapan model SSCS berorientasi masalah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah experimental research dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling purpose yaitu kelas eksperimen menggunakan X MIPA 5 dan kelas kontrol menggunakan X MIPA 3 yang masing-masing berjumlah 35 siswa. Intrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi, lembar kinerja, tes soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 30 butir, dan angket. Uji reabilitas pada instrument tes dengan nilai 0,88 yang menunjukkan instrument reliebel. Penerapan model SSCS berorientasi masalah dalam pembelajaran, didapatkan hasil pertemuan pertama tahap 1 rata-rata setiap siswa sebesar 2,36, tahap 2 sebesar 2, tahap 3 sebesar 2,28, tahap 4 sebesar 2, 25 dan tiap tahapannya meningkat pada pertemuan kedua, sehingga dapat diketahui aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan pada tiap tahapannya. Perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis ditinjau dari nilai rata-rata N-Gain, kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,63 artinya lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol dengan nilai sebesar 0,53. Penilaian lembar kinerja didapatkan hasil lebih besar pada kelas eksperimen. Respon siswa terhadap penerapan model ini adalah kategori baik dengan presentase 86% dan pada kategori cukup dengan presentase 3%, serta 11% respon siswa terdapat pada kategori sangat baik, sehingga dapat disimpulkan sebagian besar siswa memberikan respon positif. Penerapan Model SSCS dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Abstract This research aims to analyze the application of the problem-oriented SSCS model, to analyze differences in the improvement of critical thinking skills in students who applied the problem-oriented SSCS model and those who did not apply it, and to analyze students' responses to the application of the problem-oriented SSCS model. The method used in this research is experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, namely the experimental class used X MIPA 5 and the control class used X MIPA 3, each of which consisted of 35 students. The research instruments used were observation sheets, performance sheets, 30 multiple-choice test items, and questionnaires. Reliability test on the test instrument with a value of 0.88 which indicates a reliable instrument. The application of the problem-oriented SSCS model in learning, obtained the results of the first meeting of stage 1 the average of each student was 2.36, stage 2 was 2, stage 3 was 2.28, stage 4 was 2.25 and each stage increased in the second meeting, so that it can be seen that student activity has increased at each stage. The difference in increasing critical thinking skills in terms of the average N-Gain value, the experimental class is 0.63, meaning that it is greater than the control class with a value of 0.53. Assessment of the performance sheet obtained greater results in the experimental class. Student responses to the application of this model were in the good category with a percentage of 86% and in the sufficient category with a percentage of 3%, and 11% of student responses were in the very good category, so it can be concluded that most students gave positive responses. The implementation of the SSCS Model can improve students' critical thinking skills.
