Implementasi Metode Polinomial Newton Gregory untuk Mengestimasi Produksi Tanaman Biofarmaka di Kalimantan Barat

Abstract

Biopharmaceutical plants or known as medicinal plants are types of plants that have functions and efficacious as medicines and are used to cure or prevent various diseases. Empirically, the use of biopharmaceutical plants is believed to be efficacious and passed on as a cultural wealth from generation to generation through tradition. Previous research has shown that some people in West Kalimantan still use biopharmaceutical plants as an alternative to traditional medicine. So, there needs to be an estimate of the number of production biopharmaceutical plants in West Kalimantan using Newton Gregory Polynomial Interpolation. Methode of The Newton Gregory Polynomial has two types, namely Forward Newton Gregory Polynomial and Backward Newton Gregory Polynomial. The accuracy of the two methods can be seen from the results of the relative error analysis. The simulation with the Newton Gregory Backward Polynomial, the average of relative error is 0,5338, while the implementation with the Newton Gregory Forward Polynomial, the average of relative error is 0,6569.Keywords: Newton Gregory Polynomial, Newton Gregory Polynomial, Mean Relative Error. AbstrakTanaman biofarmaka atau dikenal dengan nama tanaman obat adalah jenis-jenis tanaman yang memiliki khasiat sebagai obat dan dipergunakan untuk penyembuhan ataupun mencegah berbagai penyakit. Pemanfaatan tanaman biofarmaka secara empiris diyakini kemanjurannya dan diwariskan sebagai kekayaan budaya turun melalui tradisi. Penelitian terlebih dahulu membuktikan bahwa sebagian masyarakat di Kalimantan Barat masih menggunakan tanaman biofarmaka sebagai alternative pengobatan tradisional. Maka dari itu diperlukan adanya pengestimasian jumlah produksi tanaman biofarmaka Provinsi Kalimantan Barat menggunakan Interpolasi Polinomial Newton Gregory. Interpolasi Polinomial Newton Gregory memiliki dua jenis, yaitu Polinomial Newton Gregory Maju dan Polinomial Newton Gregory Mundur. Hasil simulasi estimasi menunjukkan bahwa Polinomial Newton Gregory Mundur, diperoleh rata-rata galat relatif sebesar 0,5338, Sedangkan implementasi dengan menggunakan Polinomial Newton Gregory Maju diperoleh rata-rata galat relatif 0,6569.
