Abstract

High financial literacy and inclusion have a positive impact on individuals, financial institutions and increase the country's economic growth. This study aims to determine the level of literacy and inclusion of Islamic finance in the city of Banda Aceh after the implementation of Qanun No. 11 of 2018 concerning Islamic Financial Institutions. This study used a descriptive qualitative method using a questionnaire. The results showed that there was an increase in the Islamic financial literacy level from 71.99% to 89.70% with an Islamic financial inclusion rate of 83.4%. If categorized into financial literacy and inclusion criteria according to Chen and Volpe, the Islamic financial literacy and inclusion of the people of Banda Aceh City are in the high category.
