In recent years, contract cheating or what is known as "joki" has become a trend among students, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic which made lessons carried out online learning. The increase in cheating jumped very far from the face-to-face learning method that was previously carried out. The tools for detecting plagiarism are still insufficient to detect contract cheating, making it difficult to detect students who have committed it. The contract cheating that is carried out can have a long-term adverse effect on the education system and the formation of student ethics. Several educational institutions have devised strategies to overcome this fraud, but sometimes this is allowed by some institutions. The role of the lecturer is very important in overcoming this to build students' awareness of the importance of ethics in themselves.
