<![CDATA[VUCA Disruption (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) is one of the difficulties faced by society in the 5.0 era, which is a combination of the virtual world and the physical world. Therefore, the global community must adapt quickly and be malleable in the face of changing circumstances. The 4Cs (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication) are essential 21st-century skills. To keep up with global trends, the Indonesian government has implemented a curriculum that emphasises individual initiative and responsibility. This study aims to analyse the independent learning curriculum from the perspective of quality education in Islam. Free learning is the latest government policy related to the education curriculum, so an analysis based on an Islamic education perspective needs to be carried out to see how the concept of independent learning is used in Islamic education. The method used in this study is a descriptive-qualitative approach with literature study data collection. The results of the research show that the government's independent learning curriculum system can accommodate the skills needs of the 5.0 era of society. The concepts and programmes of independent learning can improve critical and creative thinking skills and develop communication and collaboration skills. Freedom of learning is more directed so that individuals can compete in the global arena. As for holistic Islamic education, it does not only respect the importance of building skills but also realises learning that glorifies knowledge without reducing Islamic character values. Therefore, this self-learning curriculum strategy needs to be adapted to pay attention to values education and 21st century skill development.]]>
