Abstract

This research was motivated by distance learning that occurred during the corona 19 pandemic which required students and lecturers to carry out distance learning processes. There are two types of distance learning, the first is Synchronous online learning and Asynchronous online learning. The difference between these two types of online learning is that the Synchronous Online learning method is the same as face-to-face learning, only through virtual applications such as google meet, zoom cloud meeting, WhatsApp application or video teleconferencing. While the Asynchronous online learning method is a learning can be done without having to go through face-to-face but consists of several instructions and regulations that are agreed upon by both parties, both lecturers and students. The result of this research can show the effective Task Based Learning Method. Through this method can express students’ idea in conducting the task; more confident; easier in reaching the goal of learning, and contain clearly instruction; and clearly feedback as result and lecturer’s comment. Thus, it can be one of the solutions for students and lecturers in teaching learning process especially in Asynchronous learning.
