Digital Forensic and Crime Scene Research Trends: A Decade Review (2012-2022)" This data article presents a comprehensive analysis of scholarly works related to "Digital Forensic" and "Crime Scene" from 2012 to 2022, focusing on the field of Law. The data retrieval process involved keyword-based searches on the lens.org platform, including filtering by document type (journal articles) and subject matter (Law). The study reveals critical insights: the top institution, Universite de Lausanne, in publishing relevant articles; a peak in publications in 2016 and 2019; Computer Science as the dominant field of study; prolific authors like Claude Roux; and the most active country, the United Kingdom. Furthermore, Elsevier emerged as the leading publisher, with top journals "Digital Investigation" and "Forensic Science International." This data article serves as a valuable resource for researchers seeking literature on digital forensics and crime scene investigations during the specified timeframe, offering insights into research trends, key contributors, and prolific publishers.Highlights: Universite de Lausanne leads in publishing digital forensic and crime scene articles.
