The purpose of this study was to determine the description of school dropouts in Sepa State, Amahai District, and Central Maluku Regency. The research method uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Respondents in this study were school dropouts in Amahai village, which were taken using a purpose sampling technique. Data collection techniques using interview and observation techniques and data analysis used is an interactive model. Test the validity of the data using the principle of data triangulation. The results of this study describe students who make decisions not to go to school or drop out of school because of 4 main motives, namely anxiety and concerns of the subject while studying, not having motivation or encouragement in themselves, weak thinking skills, and lack of parental attention.
