Pengaruh Penggunaan Model Think-Talk-Write (TTW) terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Berita Siswa-Siswi Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Morawa

Abstract

Bahasa merupakan lambang bunyi yang digunakan oleh semua orang atau masyarakat untuk berhubungan dengan identifikasi diri dalam bentuk percakapan yang baik, tingkah laku dan sopan santun yang baik. Oleh karena itu, penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian yang berjudul "Pengaruh Penggunaan Model Think-Talk-Write (TTW) Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Morawa" Peneliti melakukan penelitian eksperimen. Desain yang akan digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan Two Group Posttest – Posttest Design, yakni penelitian yang terdiri dari Posttest sebelum diberikan perlakuan, karena sanggup membandingkan keadaan sebelum diberikan perlakuan (Sugiyono, 2018:710).Dari hasil temuan penelitian nilai pre-test siswa diperoleh bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa dalam menulis teks berita sebelum menggunakan Model Think-Talk-Write (TTW) adalah 60,93 berkategori kurang baik dengan standar deviasi 9,21. Nilai tertinggi siswa adalah 76 dan nilai terendah siswa adalah 44. Nilai post-test siswa diperoleh bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa dalam menulis teks berita sesudah menggunakan Model Think-Talk-Write (TTW) adalah 80,8 berkategori baik dengan standar deviasi 8,54. Dimana nilai tertinggi siswa adalah 92 dan nilai terendah siswa adalah 60. Berdasarkan kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian maka penulis memberikan saran Bagi Sekolah hendaknya menerapkan Model Think-Talk-Write (TTW) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks berita agar pembelajaran lebih aktif. Kata Kunci: Pengaruh Penggunaan Model Think – Talk – Write, Kemampuan Menulis Teks Berita Abstract Language is a sound symbol used by all people or society to relate to self-identification in the form of good conversation, good behavior and good manners. Therefore, the author is interested in conducting research entitled "The Effect of Using the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) Model on the Writing Ability of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Morawa". Researchers conducted experimental research. The design that will be used in this research is Two Group Posttest - Posttest Design, namely research consisting of a posttest before being given treatment, because it can compare the situation before being given treatment (Sugiyono, 2018: 710). From the research findings, students' pre-test scores were obtained. that the average score of students in writing news texts before using the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) Model was 60.93 in the poor category with a standard deviation of 9.21. The student's highest score was 76 and the student's lowest score was 44. The student's post-test score showed that the average score of students in writing news texts after using the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) Model was 80.8 in the good category with a standard deviation of 8. 54. Where the student's highest score is 92 and the student's lowest score is 60. Based on the conclusions from the research results, the author provides suggestions for schools to implement the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) Model to improve news text writing skills so that learning is more active.
