Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan Karakter pada Tari Penthul Melikan di Desa Tempuran Paron Ngawi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dan menjabarkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada tari Penthul Melikan di desa Tempuran Paron Ngawi, Jawa Timur. Tari Penthul Melikan dipilih untuk diteliti karena merupakan tarian yang menjadi ikon Kabupaten Ngawi. Selain dapat dipelajari dan diperoleh nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada tarian tersebut, secara tidak langsung juga ikut andil dalam pelestarian kesenian daerah yang saat ini kurang mendapat perhatian. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Objek penelitian ini adalah nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter tari Penthul Melikan, sedangkan subjek penelitian adalah ketua komunitas, penari, dan penggerak komunitas tari Penthul Melikan. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Setelah data terkumpul, kemudian dilakukan validasi data dengan triangulasi sumber. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tahap persiapan data, general sense, coding data, deskripsi data, penyajian data, dan interpretasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tari Penthul Melikan terdapat nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang meliputi nilai religius, cinta tanah air, disiplin, peduli sosial, kerja keras, toleransi, dan semangat kebangsaan yang terdapat pada ragam gerak, musik iringan tari, busana, dan lirik lagunya. Kata Kunci: Penthul Melikan, Pendidikan Karakter, dan Seni Tari     This study aims to reveal and describe the values of character education in the Penthul Melikan dance in the village of Tempuran Paron Ngawi, East Java. The Penthul Melikan dance was chosen for research because it is a dance that has become an icon of Ngawi Regency. Apart from being able to learn and acquire character education values in the dance, it also indirectly contributes to the preservation of regional arts which are currently receiving less attention. The method used is qualitative with descriptive research type. The object of this research is the character education values of the Penthul Melikan dance, while the research subjects are community leaders, dancers, and community leaders of the Penthul Melikan dance. Data collection was obtained from observation, interviews, and documentation. After the data is collected, then data validation is carried out with source triangulation. Data analysis was carried out by the stages of data preparation, general sense, data coding, data description, data presentation, and data interpretation. The results of the study show that in the Penthul Melikan dance there are values of character education which include religious values, love of the motherland, discipline, social care, hard work, tolerance, and national spirit found in the variety of movements, dance accompaniment music, clothing, and lyrics the songKeywords: Penthul Melikan, Character Education, and Dance Art
