PERSEPSI ORANG TUA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR DI KOTA BANJARBARU TERHADAP KEBIKAKAN PEMBELAJARAN JARAK JAUH PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract

Abstrak __________________________________________________________ Pandemi Covid-19 telah menyebabkan perubahan pola interaksi dan aktivitas dalam hampir seluruh aspek kehidupan manusia tak terkecuali sektor pendidikan. Masuknya virus corona ke Indonesia telah mengubah proses pembelajaran sekolah di hampir sebagian besar wilayah Indonesia menjadi Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ), belajar dari rumah atau School from Home (SFH). Akibatnya metode belajar yang semula mengandalkan ceramah dan interaksi fisik berubah drastis menjadi daring dan orang tua dituntut untuk menjadi pembimbing serta menggantikan peran guru dalam proses pembelajaran daring dirumah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki persepsi dan sikap orang tua siswa Sekolah Dasar di kota Banjarbaru terhadap pembelajaran jarak jauh, sebagai respon atas penutupan banyak sekolah akibat pandemi Covid-19. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah orang tua siswa Sekolah Dasar di tiga kecamatan di kota Banjarbaru berjumlah 6 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan angket. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data, pengelompokkan data, dan menyimpulkan data. Hasil penelitian persepsi orang tua siswa Sekolah Dasar di kota Banjarbaru terhadap kebijakan pembelajaran jarak jauh pada masa pandemi Covid-19 sebagai berikut: (1) Setiap orang tua memiliki persepsi yang hampir sama mengenai kebijakan pembelajaran jarak jauh pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Orang tua secara umum tidak memiliki pandangan yang negatif atau penolakan terhadap kebijakan pembelajaran jarak jauh, mereka cenderung setuju dengan kebijakan tersebut. (2) kendala-kendala yang terkait dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh lebih disebabkan oleh kesiapan orang tua menjadi guru di rumah. Orang tua dituntut memfasilitasi kebutuhan belajar daring anak di rumah. Materi pembelajaran juga menjadi kendala bagi orang tua. Dalam hal ini banyak orang tua yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi anak. Abstract ______________________________________________________________ The Covid-19 pandemic has caused changes in interaction patterns and activities in almost all aspects of human life are not involved in education. The entry of the corona virus into Indonesia has changed the learning process in most parts of Indonesia into Distance Learning, School from Home (SFH). As a result of learning methods that rely on lectures and drastic physical interactions, parents become brave and change parents to become mentors and help the teacher's role in the learning process from home. This study aims to assess the attitudes of parents of elementary school students in the farthest Banjarbaru city, in response to the closure of many schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were parents of elementary school students in three sub-districts in the city of Banjarbaru totaling 6 people. The technique of collecting data was through interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting data, grouping data, and concluding data. The results of the research on the perceptions of parents of elementary school students in the city of Banjarbaru towards distance learning policies during the Covid-19 pandemic are as follows: (1) Every parent has almost the same perception regarding distance learning policies during the Covid-19 pandemic. Parents generally do not have a negative or negative view of the distance learning policy, they agree with the policy. (2) obstacles related to distance learning are more due to the readiness of parents to become teachers at home. Parents to facilitate children's learning needs at home. Learning materials are also an obstacle for parents. In this case, many parents have difficulty in understanding children's material.
