Abstract

Organic and sustainable agriculture has become a primary focus in the global discourse on maintaining environmental sustainability and ensuring future food security. Amidst the increasingly evident climate change and complex environmental issues, the need for more sustainable and environmentally-friendly agricultural approaches has become more urgent. Organic farming offers a solution by applying natural principles to reduce the use of synthetic chemicals, improve soil quality, and produce healthier and higher-quality agricultural products. The utilization of organic fertilizers is a crucial component of organic farming. Organic fertilizers have the potential to enhance soil structure, increase nutrient availability, and reduce soil erosion. Additionally, the use of organic fertilizers can mitigate the negative environmental impacts associated with the use of chemical fertilizers. Animal manure from cattle represents a promising raw material for organic fertilizers. In Indonesia, cattle farming plays a significant role in providing meat and its by-products to meet the protein needs of the population. However, the growth in cattle population also leads to an increase in manure production, which can pose environmental challenges if not managed properly. Utilizing cattle manure as raw material for liquid organic fertilizer can provide a sustainable solution. The fermentation process transforms waste into a valuable resource, resulting in liquid organic fertilizer that offers beneficial nutrients to plants and improves overall soil quality. Guidance in transforming cattle manure into liquid organic fertilizer within the millennial farmer group "Belik Lesung" is essential. This article explains the guidance process involving stages of technical training, monitoring and evaluation, as well as the introduction of supporting technologies. The outcomes include increased knowledge and skills, enhanced agricultural productivity, and positive environmental impacts. A comprehensive and collaborative approach is necessary. This article analyzes the guidance experience and its impact on agricultural productivity, understanding of sustainable farming practices, and the potential for developing similar models. Thus, this guidance is expected to promote sustainable organic farming among farmers, contributing to the well-being of farmers, the environment, and society as a whole.
