Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper is descriptive research with qualitative approach. This study will explained about the processing of library collection that involved by 4 (four) librarians to do inventaritation, classification, and catalogitation at Library Faculty in Faculty of Letter and Culture Udayana University. The Techniques of collecting data are interview, observation, and documentation. In this study, author process the datas with triangulation, reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion, while the technique of presenting data using narrative descriptly. The Inveritation process in Library Faculty in Faculty of Letter and Culture Udayana University doesn’t have any special room for this inventaritation activity, and the staff of Library Faculty in Faculty of Letter and Culture Udayana University have not schedule on this activity because they are depends on the crowdedness of the service in library. While the classification process of the Library Faculty in Faculty of Letter and Culture Udayana University applied the 14th reference of Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) for the book classification, and the catalogitation activity at Library Faculty in Faculty of Letter and Culture Udayana University was hampered by the obstacle on the new system.
