Abstract

ABSTRAK. Perkembangan Islam awal di Jawa tidak terlepas dari dakwah Wali Songo dengan menggunakan pendekatan kompromis terhadap kebudayaan lama, sehingga terjadilah sinkretisme antara ajaran Islam dengan kepercayaan Animisme, Hindu dan Budha. Mesjid sebagai sarana dakwah Wali Songo kemudian menjadi penting bagi dunia penelitian karena perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi padanya selama beberapa abad sejak didirikan pada zaman Wali Songo hingga sekarang ini. Salah satu aspeknya adalah perkembangan perubahan bentuk arsitektur mesjid Wali Songo, yang bisa diketahui sejauh mana dakwah Wali Songo mempengaruhi perkembangan itu.            KATA KUNCI : Dakwah Wali Songo, Sinkretisme, Perubahan Bentuk Arsitektur ABSTRACT. Initial Islamic development in Java cannot be separated from Wali Songo’s missionary by using compromise approach to old culture. This condition will affect the appearance of cyncretism between Islam and animism, Hindu and Budhist. Mosque as a facility for walisongo’s missionary become something significant for research because the changes had been happened to the mosque for centuries since had been built at walisongo’s period untill recently. One of the aspect is the development of architectural form changing of walisongo’s mosque which had been known how far walisongo’s missionary will affect the development. Keywords : walisongo’s missionary, sincretism, architectural form changing.
