AbstractThis study was conducted in Vietnam by focusing on religious and religious education institutions. Vietnam, as a socialist country, its population does not convert to Islam by only 0.1%. From these small Muslim converts, Vietnam has madrasah and boarding schools of religious and religious education. Madrasah Al Nur is located in Ho Chi Minh city while Darussalam district is located in Tay Ninh province about 200 Km from Ho Chi Minh City. Madrasah Al Nur organizes learning with the classical system located at Jamiul Anwar mosque. Each class is divided by age group, not age. Learners sit on the floor, each using a small and short table. Learning materials include faith-morals, jurisprudence, Date, Language: Arabic, English and art of reading the Koran, for Darussalam boarding schools, using classical systems such as formal schools. The learning material covers tahfiz, fiqh, aqeedah, discussion Malay and Arabic. The government has recognized both the madrassas and the boarding schools, but the degree has not been, in the sense of not being able to continue to higher education levels only with the degree of madrasah and boarding schools. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan di Vietnam dengan memfokuskan pada lembaga pendidikan agama dan keagamaan. Vietnam sebagai negara sosialis, penduduknya tidak banyak yang memeluk Islam hanya sekitar 0,1%. Dari pemeluk Islam yang kecil tersebut, Vietnam memiliki lembaga pendidikan agama dan keagamaan berbentuk madrasah dan pesantren. Madrasah Al Nur terletak di kota Ho Chi Minh sedangkan pesantren Darussalam terletak di provinsi Tay Ninh sekitar 200 Km dari Ho Chi Minh. Madrasah Al Nur menyelenggarakan pembelajaran dengan sistem klasikal yang bertempat di masjid Jamiul Anwar. Masing-masing kelas dibagi berdasarkan kelompok keilmuan, bukan berdasarkan umur. Peserta didik duduk di lantai, masing-masing menggunakan meja kecil dan pendek. Materi pembelajaran meliputi aqidah-akhlak, fiqh, tarikh, Bahasan Arab, Bahasa Melayu dan seni baca Alquran. Untuk pesantren Darussalam, menggunakan sistem klasikal seperti sekolah formal. Materi pembelajarannya meliputi tahfiz, fiqh, aqidah, Bahasan Melayu dan Bahasa Arab. Keduanya madrasah dan pesantren secara kelembagaan sudah diakui oleh pemerintah tetapi ijazahnya belum, dalam arti tidak bisa melanjutkan ke jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi jika hanya berbekal ijazah madrasah dan pesantren.
