Abstract

AbstrakData diperoleh, 39 dari murid kelas XII yang berjumlah 263 siswa T.A 2010 yang berminat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. Minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi yang kurang tersebut diduga karena masalah harga diri akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara harga diri akademik dengan minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan kuantitatif korelasional.Subjek berjumlah 158 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan cluster random sampling. Harga diri akademik diukur dengan skala mempunyai koefisien reliabilitas 0,842. Sedangkan minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi diukur dengan skala mempunyai koefisien reliabilitas 0,930. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel harga diri akademik tergolong tinggi. Sedangkan variabel minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi tergolong sedang cenderung tinggi. Uji hipotesis diperoleh koefisien (r) harga diri akademik dengan minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi sebesar 0,304 dengan (p) 0,000. Menunjukkan ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara harga diri akademik dengan minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke pergururan tinggi di SMA N 1 Ambarawa, sehingga hipotesis yang diajukan peneliti dapat diterima.AbstractThe data obtained, 39 of grade XII, amounting to 263 students of the school year 2010 who are interested incontinuing education to college. Interest incontinuing education to higher education is still lacking, presumably because of academicself-esteem issues. This study aims to determine the correlation between academic self-esteem with an interest to continue their education into college. This study is a correlational quantitative research. Subjects in this study amounted to 158 students. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Academic self-esteem was measured with a scale has a reliability coefficient to 0.842. While interest incontinuing their education to higher education was measured using a scale has a reliability coefficient 0.930. The results showed a variable of academic self-esteem is high. While a variable interest in continuing their education to higher education tend to be classified as being high. Hypothesis test caIcuIation coefficient (r) self-interest in continuing academic education to the college of 0.304 to (p) 0.000. Showed significant positive correlation between academic self-esteem rates continuing higher education at SMAN 1 Ambarawa, so the researchers put forward the hypothesis can be accepted.
