<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Ritual Hajat Lembur merupakan peristiwa kesuburan dalam mengkultuskan Dewi Sri sebagai Dewi Padi simbol yang harus dihormati dan dipupusti, karena dianggap sebagai sumber dari segala kehidupan yang akan membawa berkah keselamatan, kesehatan, rejeki yang melimpah, serta kesuburan hasil pertanian. Perilaku masyarakat terhadap peristiwa yang terjadi dengan munculnya suatu kepercayaan terhadap mitos yang berhubungan dengan Dewi kesuburan dalam hal ini Nyai Sri. Seni Terebang sebagai media ritual merupakan produk kreatif berkaitan dengan kompleksitas kehidupan masyarakat yang memuat peristiwa sosial kaitannya dengan kehidupan petani. Untuk mengeksplanasi ritual hajat lembur menggunakan pendekatan teori Fungsi laten, ritual ini memberikan manfaat untuk keharmonisan antara manusia juga alam, sehingga terciptanya iklim cosmos dalam kehidupan masyarakat baik secara lahir maupun bathin.Kata Kunci: Hajat Lembur, Ritual Kesuburan, Seni Terebang. ABSTRACT The ritual of Hajat Lembur is a fertility event in culturing Dewi Sri as the goddess of Padi (rice), a symbol that must be respected and fostered, because it is considered as a source of all life that will bring blessings to safety, health, abundant fortune, and fertility of agricultural products. Community behavior towards the events is the emergence of a belief in the myth related to the Goddess of fertility, in this case Nyai Sri.The art of Terebang as a ritual medium is a creative product associated with the complexity of people life which contains social events related to the lives of farmers. To explain the ritual of hajat lembur, the writeruses the latent function theory approach.
