Abstract

Students are the most valuable assets in a private college. Assets like this that really need to be maintained and maintained, because most of the income from the private campus is derived from the tuition fees of students. The large number of students who resigned and did not conduct registration would have an impact on the financial institutions. STMIK Widya Pratama is the only computer science campus in Pekalongan City. Data from the last 5 years obtained from the new student admissions committee at STMIK Widya Pratama Pekalongan shows that out of 2670 prospective students who enroll, there are at least 514 prospective students who do not register. This means that around 20% of students do not register. Several analyzes related to the classification for student registration were conducted. In this case the best method that can be used is C45. In the process of calculating the C45 algorithm, information gain method is used to determine the importance of data attributes. The calculation results show that the attribute with the highest level of importance is the city_district attribute from the prospective student's residence, followed by the attributes of education, parental education, and tuition. These results can later be used and developed to create a system to support campus policy.

Abstract

This paper is review wireless sensor network and it’s energy consumption at different deployment methods. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are emerging with many applications, because of the advances in large scale wireless communications. These networks are deployed to serve single objective application, with high optimization requirements such as power saving. The WSN design problem is of high complexity, and requires robust methodologies, including simulation support. We use NS2 as simulation program for this model. In this paper, the authors compare the energy consumption on three different deployment methods of WSN. These deployment methods refer to topology deployment. In this simulation, we deploy WSN on grid, array, and random topology. We use different numbers of WSN nodes for showing the scalability. We use AODV as routing protocol and CBR as the traffic. After that, we compare the energy consumption that consume by that networks. Based on simulation result, the array topology is the best topology for deployment. This topology is the lowest on energy consumption, 0.560%.

Abstract

Along with the development of wireless communication makes the increasing demand for obtaining quality services and better range, bandwidth-efficient and reliable system. OFDM is a multicarrier transmission technique to overcome multipath fading, which may result in intersymbol interference (ISI). On the other hand there is the antenna system with the use of multiple antennas at the transmitter and receiver that can also be overcome multipath fading,ie Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) to increase channel capacity and diversity gain. MIMO techniques used in this Final adaldah Space Time Block Code. Simulation aims to simulate and analyze the MIMO OFDM technique using space-time block code against the influence of the number of subcarriers and influence user speed in AWGN channel and Rayleigh. The simulation results based on the number of subcarriers in AWGN channel, the best performance is obtained by subcarrier number 256. With BPSK and QPSK modulation obtained BER = 6 10-4 when SNR 4 dB. Simulation based on Rayleigh channel obtained when BER = 9.7 10-5 with BPSK modulation. Based on the comparison of the greater frequency doppler given doppler frequency, resulting in BER generated even greater, because the state of the canal will be getting worse.

Abstract

Evaluation of information system performance is needed to get an overview of the ease of end-users in utilizing a new technology. This study aims to evaluate the performance of information systems in a state-owned company (PT PLN Madya Langsa) based on an end-user perspective that is separated into two categories: employees and managers. The level of employee satisfaction (primary user) is measured using EUCS (aspect of: content, accuracy, format, ease of use, timeliness, and satisfaction). The manager's satisfaction level (secondary user) is measured by using IT BSC (aspect of: company contribution, user, operational excellence, and future orientation). The evaluation on the primary user showed that it was low at 25.6%, moderate at 56.64% and high at 18%. The percentage of user satisfaction with the information systems is 72.9% of the results expected by users. Meanwhile, evaluation on the secondary user obtained the following results: low at 10.5%, moderate 84.2% and high at 5.3%. The percentage of user satisfaction with the information system was 92.8% of the results that is expected by users. This study also discusses why there are differences in the percentage of primary user satisfaction compare to the secondary user and provides suggestions how to improve the level of satisfaction of the end users in the future.
