Penulis-penulis yang telah mengisi edisi jurnal merupakan dosen STP Trisakti ditambah dengan penulis-penulis lepas yang berasal dari institusi pendidikan, institusi pemerintah, wartawan serta pemerhati-pemerhati bidang kepariwisataan. Berikutnya pada tahun 2006 Jurnal Ilmiah Pariwisata kembali mendapat Akreditasi Dikti No. 55a/Dikti/Kep/2006.

Abstract

The characteristics of Surabaya tourism is urban tourism. With the limitations of natural attractions, Surabaya has an artificial tourism based on community based tourism in the residential area in Jambangan tourism village.TouristattractionsinJambanganusingexperientialtourism approach, which is touristsexperience firsthandandbe involved inlocal community life. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the field of urban tourism in Surabaya is done through three forms: the creation of tourist events, renovation or development of tourist attractions, and the creation of new tourist destinations or attractions. CSR in the tourist village Jambangan CSR categorized in terms of the development of tourist attractions. The background of implementation CSR in Jambangan because the location of business close from this village. CSR through assistance making catfish ponds, nursery fungi, and development of batik creations among the citizens of Jambangan. The goal is to have a diversity in Jambangan tourism village. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, in which the primary data source is obtained through interviews and observation, secondary data sources through the study of literature. Conclusions of this study are: ( 1 ) CSR in tourism will achieve the target and sustain if supported by community involvement, (2 ) The development of tourist destinations with CSR programs must adapt to the characteristics and local resources.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the relation of bureaucrats competency and institutional capacity of bureaucracy to the pattern of tourism policy in Palembang. Based on empirical research using qualitative approaches-positivist, researcher concluded that (a) the capacity of bureaucrats and bureaucracy, especially Department of Tourism and Culture in Palembang City, in managing tourism affairs is still weak; (b) there is a causal relationship between bureaucrats competency with institutional capacity competency, as well as the contribution of bureaucrats competency and institutional capacity compentency on the pattern of policies and programs of Department of Tourism and Culture in Palembang City simultaneously. Based on these findings, the authors suggested that Palembang municipality government should managing bureaucrats and institutional competency as a starting point of tourism development reform of in their city.

Abstract

Along with development and economic growth, today increased the role of tourism, as a new sector of substantial foreign exchange earner for the improvement of public welfare. Indonesia as one of the country that has a wealth of outstanding natural and cultural, also enjoy these benefits. However, tourism also often regarded as one of the largest damage contributor to the preservation of the environment and society, particularly through the development of supporting infrastructure. By using approach of quantitative methode, this reserach aims to formulate a model of sustainable tourism-based cultural values, social and environmental wisdom that will support the successful development of tourism in Yogyakarta. Result of this reserach in the field of Environmental Planning is the formulation of the Sustainable Tourism Development Model as a basis for tourism management policies in Yogyakarta in particular and Indonesia in general, as well as the drafting of the new pillars in the ecotourism criteria to complement the pillars that have been there before.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the potential and opportunities of the traditional food which is processed from the local material as a cultural product. Field survey, interview and literature review conducted to collect the data, and the results were analyzed by descriptive qualitative. The traditional food is a one of the component of culture in Bali tourism development. Knowing the economic benefits by using the local food as a cultural product, has led to the idea for businesses to develop the traditional food as culinary tourism product. To distinguish Bali culinary to the other culinary, the traditional food packed not only by using the unique of ingredients but also the food is served by Balinese service. A nice attitudes and the friendly behaviors of Balinese people as strength of Bali culinary package. However, to introduce the Balinese culinary to broader scope it is need a proper strategy in marketing . In this case, the practices have to use the right media to promote the Bali culinary to people especially for tourist. The expected through packaging the traditional foods into culinary products, people can get a better life not only in the economic aspect but also in terms of socio - cultural aspects, the people would appreciate its local products.

Abstract

Tourism development requires community participation as a condition for the success of tourism development. This study discusses community participation in tourism development of Suwuk Beach of Kebumen Regency using quantitative methods to measure the seven indicators of participation that is planning and implementing tourism strategies, achievement of sustainable tourism development, improvement tourist satisfaction, better tourism planning, fair distribution of costs and benefits involving stakeholders, compliance of the locals needs, and strengthening the process of democratization at tourist destination. The result showed the community in Suwuk Beach classified as participatory community in tourism development of Suwuk Beach in Kebumen Regency.
