Penulis-penulis yang telah mengisi edisi jurnal merupakan dosen STP Trisakti ditambah dengan penulis-penulis lepas yang berasal dari institusi pendidikan, institusi pemerintah, wartawan serta pemerhati-pemerhati bidang kepariwisataan. Berikutnya pada tahun 2006 Jurnal Ilmiah Pariwisata kembali mendapat Akreditasi Dikti No. 55a/Dikti/Kep/2006.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify the management system of public toilet in several tourist attractions in Bali, which was related to cleanliness quality, facility, and design feasibility. In addition, this was also referred to identifying the level of tourist’s satisfaction as user of public toilet. To achieve those goals, this research used survey design to collect data of 200 respondents in 20 tourist attractions spread in Bali. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted to reconfirm the findings; therefore right strategies could be formulated to overcome current issues and problems. The analysis method applied for this research was Qualitative Descriptive and Performance-Importance Analysis. The results showed that tourist’s satisfaction toward the cleanliness and design of public toilet was 47%. From design feasibility perspective, it was found out that conformance level of public toilet design toward international standard was 51%. Those findings showed that the public toilet management system in Bali needed significant improvement. It needed a comprehensive approach to solve these problems by involving all stakeholders.

Abstract

Tourism development should be supported by qualified human resources, so that the development can be carried out on an ongoing basis and in accordance with the needs of the community. Improving the quality of eduaction is a matter that is not negotiable so that we can competence with foreign graduates (developed countries) is to implement a management system that is both educational and professional. With KKNI reflect the learning outcomes obtined one can through: (1) educatin; (2) training; (3) work experience, and (4) self-learning, so that would change how I view someone's competence, which is no longer solely on the diploma but with a view to the agreed framework of national qualifications as the basis for the recognition of one's educational outcomes widely (formally, non-formal, in formal or self-taught) are accountable and transparent.Institutional arrangement can be done by implementing a quality system of higher education "profesioinal" tourism that allows its graduates meet the qualification standards applied by the industry skills. Qualifications desired standards can be obtained from the "color" of a college, which owns the foundation of planning and implementation of educational programs and local curriculum-based culture of excellence, where "color" is derived from input from business / industry, students, parents of students , staff (teaching and administrative), alumni, as well as the development of information technology.

Methods In this small-scale applied research used descriptive method with quantitative approach, by describing the data, describe, and explain, which refers to the primary data and secondary data based on the fact that there are (actual), and then analyzed to produce a conclusion.

Abstract

Research landscape management strategy Nostalgia Parks Kupang, aims to analyze the landscape character nostalgic tour of the gardens, the potential and constraints, as well as to propose management strategies garden tour of the city. The research method using three analyzes, namely SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the region; analysis of the carrying capacity of the region, and analysis of the characteristics, perceptions, and preferences of visitors. The study was conducted in September 2014 to January 2015. The results showed that the preparation of several important strategies park management system, especially in the area of economic value utilization system, enforcement of visitors travel to / tenant clearly, design improvements (re-design) and garden materials that facilitate / gives a sense of comfort for users, promoting the implementation of local arts and cultural activities that interested visitors, as well as maintaining a special green open space for wildlife.

Abstract

Tourism sector is considered to have a very important role in order to increasing the national income, as well as to leveraging people welfare on the local area. Unfortunately, tourism is also considered as one sector that have a very large environmental damage, associated with the development of a variety of basic infrastructure such as resorts, hotels and roads. Therefore, the trend of future tourism development is sustainable tourism. The problem is, sustainable tourism in various regions always bumping to the funding issue. Therefore, by using descriptive analysis of regulation, the potential of the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) more in-depth analysis as well drafted policy recommendations related to the preparation of DAK of Tourism as one of the sources of funding sustainable tourism in the region in the future. Sektor pariwisata selama ini dianggap memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan devisa nasional, sekaligus menyejahterakan masyarakat di daerah. Sayangnya, pariwisata juga dianggap sebagai salah satu sektor yang menyumbang kerusakan lingkungan yang sangat besar terkait dengan upaya pembangunan berbagai infrastruktur dasar seperti resort, hotel dan jalan. Karenanya, tren pengembangan pariwisata ke depan adalah pariwisata yang sadar lingkungan (sustainable tourism). Permasalahannya, sustainable tourism di berbagai daerah selelu terbentur kepada persoalan pendanaan. Karenanya, dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif regulasi, potensi Dana Alokasi Khusus (DAK) dianalisis lebih mendalam sekaligus disusun rekomendasi kebijakan terkait penyusuna DAK Kepariwisataan sebagai salah satu sumber pendanaan sustainable tourism di daerah ke depannya.
