Abstract

To recite the verses of al-Qur’an repeatedly and arrangeably is an appropriate way to maintain and to bear in mind in such for a long time. In line to this, the method of takrar is strongly believed as the proper way. The implementation of the method of takrar is closely to deal with the learning method to achieve the target. By doing so, the process of bearing in mind the verses of al-Qur’an cannot be simply separated from one’s memories happened in the past and can be re conjured up through that way. The method of takrar is much easier to do by reciting the verses gradually and repeatedly to achieve maximum target. In fact, this process is strongly to do with the process of teaching taught by the angel Gabriel to the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him). For the time being, the prophet was illiterate and Gabriel insisted the prophet recite the verses till three times but it eventually did not work. After all, the angel kept teaching him to recite them more and more and finally it worked. In addition, the implementation of the method of takrar is aimed at sustainably maintaining the purity and the existence of al-Qur’an besides having other three functions among other things are to receive self-learning, to produce self-learning and to secure self-learning.

Abstract

One of influencing factors in improving the teachers performance is organization culture. This study aims to know the discipline training pattern, the assumption of the importance of organization culture in improving the teachers performance and motivation, and inhibiting factors in improving the teachers performance at SMAN 1 East Simeulue of Simeulue sub-district. This study is qualitative descriptive approach. The technique of the data collection were through observations, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study were head master of the school, teachers, and school committee. The analysis of the research shows that (1) Fostering discipline in improving the teacher performance at SMAN 1 East Simeulue is by referring to the decided rules, whether both statutory regulations and school rules. The discipline approach was being conducted gradually started from decided job description, conducted persuasive approach, supervised the teaching-learning process, and guiding the teachers’ task, and giving impose sanctions in accordance with the offense level. (2) A system of giving motivation to the teachers in improving their performance is being conducted through giving the unbinding, good service, career promotion, training opportunities, providing services on safety and convenience of the teacher task . (3) The inhibiting factor in improving the teacher performance is the lack of the school rule socialization, lack of coordination , in effective communication amongst personnel, and lack of involvement of the school committee in deciding the school policy.

Abstract

The inclusive program of the State Primary School 32 Banda Aceh will be successful if it is supported by human resources professionally in carrying out school operational. This study aims at knowing the inclusive education program, inclusive educational implementation management and the encountered obstacles in the implementation of inclusive education management at SD Negeri 32 Banda Aceh. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The techniques of collecting data were observations, interviews, and documentations. The subject of the research were school head master, vice of school head master, class teacher supervisor, special teacher assistant, and parents. The results of the research shows that 1) The school head master program in implementing inclusive education is through conducting training delivery to the teachers, accepting the students ABK, modifying curriculum and affording school infrastructure in accordance with the needs of the students. 2) The implementation of inclusive education management can be seen from the number of students with special needs in academic year 2009/2010 that out of 19 students possessing one special teacher assistant, the curriculum being modified based on the students need. 3) The constraints of inclusive education programs are education funding, insufficient facilities and infrastructure, and lack of teacher special assistants.

Abstract

Motivation is one of the superior tools in order subordinate willing to work hard and smart in accord with the goal. If there is one achieve his or her motivation, then he or she tend to be continuously motivated. On the other hand, if there is one often fail to reach his or her motivation, then he or she keep preserving and keep make effort and pray till his or her motivation be reached or becomes hopeless. This study is aimed at knowing if there is a significant relationship between work motivation and teacher teaching ability toward the students’ achievement in Gugus II Primary School, Kebayakan Sub-district, Aceh Tengah. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The populations of the study were all the teachers and students at Gugus II Primary School Kebayakan sub-district, Aceh Tengah. The samples of the study were 31 teachers and 31 students. The results of this study indicate that the first hypothesis that there is a positive effect on work motivation with student achievement (rx1y = 0.670), second, there is a positive effect of the teachers teaching ability on the student achievement (rx2y = 0.691), there are three positive influence on work motivation and teachers teaching ability upon the achievement (rx1x2 = 0.856). The simultaneous analysis indicates that work motivation and the teachers teaching ability could affect the students’ achievement. Out of motivation variable hypothesis on the teacher high teaching ability has a significant influence on students’ achievement in Gugus II Primary School, Kebayakan sub-district, Aceh Tengah

Abstract

School head master managerial is one things must be conducted systematically and continuously in order to improve the competence and the skill in carrying out the duty to reach the national education goal. The purpose of this study is to describe the school head master managerial at state vocational school SMK 2 Sinabang. This study uses descriptive qualitative approach, and the data collection techniques were observations, interviews, and documentations. The subjects of the research were: school head master, school administration chairman, and the deputy of the school head master. The results shows (1) the school head master’s ability in developing planning programs is formulated by school head master which was started at new school year academic such as supervising, assessing the teacher’s performance, involving the teachers on the trainings, giving extra tasks for some teachers such as vice school headmaster, department chairman, lab chairman, supervisors, and librarian, teachers for training, distribution of additional duties for teachers as a representative example principal, head of department, head of the laboratory, supervisor, and manager of the library; (2) the strategies undertaken by the school head master in teacher performance implementation were: guiding teachers in arranging lesson plan, applying teaching model variation, giving motivation, engaging teachers in some training activities and refreshment courses, and giving the opportunities to the teachers to pursue their study, activating MGMPs activity and KKG forum at school; (3) The impact of the coaching process being carried out by the school head master to improve the teacher performance, will be seen from the teacher changing attitude to be better, namely, the ability of the teacher in setting the plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching–learning process; (4) the constraints being faced in improving the professional capability of teachers among others are: funding problem, timing, and the limitation of the human resources as an instructor/ trainer in the field of vocational, as well as limited training/refresher courses held in conjunction to the professional upgrading of teachers.

Abstract

Teaching supervision is one of the efforts to improve teacher professionalism. The purpose of this study was to find out how the teaching supervision program, teaching supervision techniques, and supporting and inhibiting factor of the implementation of teaching supervision of principal were. This study used descriptive method and qualitative approach. Data were collected through interview, observation and documentation study. Subject of the study were principal, vice principal and teachers. The result showed that: (1) Learning supervision program prepared by principal including planning, scheduling, supervision model, supervision clues, feedback and follow up implementation. In the implementation, principal examine learning administration instrument such as syllabus, lesson plan, teaching and learning process, annual program, semester program, effective week, question item analysis. (2) Teaching supervision techniques was conducted by class visiting, class observation, individual talk, teacher meeting, and assigning the teachers for training, upgrading, and educational seminar. (3) Supporting factor of teaching supervision implementation were teacher readiness to be coached by the principal, the establishment of good relationship in school environment, in addition the principal can monitor the teachers’ teaching development or achievement. Therefore, the principal would now which teachers were successful and which teachers needed further coaching in teaching. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor in the implementation of teaching supervision was the limited time due to the busyness of principal inside and outside of the school.

Abstract

The strategy of the head master of the school really influence the teachers’ competence profesionalism that being conducted by guiding and giving opportunity to the teacher to improve their profession. The aim of this study is to know the strategy of head master in utilizing the teacher teaching methods, the strategy of head master in evaluating the success of the teachers, and to know the situation of the school head master in improving the professional competence of the teachers at the state senior high school 1 Peukan Bada Aceh Besar. The approach used in this study is qualitative with descriptive method. The techniques used in data collection were observations, interviews and documentations. The subjects of the research were the head master of the school, school curriculum division, administration chairman, chairman on the students’ affairs, and subject teachers of SMAN 1 Peukan Bada. The results of the study show that the head master strategies in improving the profesional ism competence namely: (1) The teachers learning mastery; (2) The use of teaching-learning methods by involving the teachers in training activities, scientific activities, seminars, workshops, scientific writing in action research, team teaching, inhousing MGMPs, motivate teachers to continue their education and supervision; (3) The strategy of the headmaster of the school in evaluation and class supervision sometimes conducted suddenly. The results of the evaluations are collected into a head master note and be conveyed at the meeting and MGMPs forum activities as a follow-up evaluation on what has been carried out; (4) The obstacles faced by the head master of the school in improving profesional ism competence among others are: the time restriction of school head master and teachers to carry out their primary tasks, low motivation of the students and teacher in the late of retirement to master information technology, put work hour to support the teacher certification, and putting hours of work to support teacher certification.

Abstract

School head master leadership has an important role in improving teacher’s competence. The purpose of this study is to know the program of the school headmaster in improving the teacher’s competence, the strategy and the policy of head master in improving the competence of teachers. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data were collected from interviews, observations, and documentations. The subject of the study were the school head master, vice of the school head master, senior teacher, chairman of MGMPs, and teachers. The results show that (1) the school head master program is structured as a reference to enhance the competence of teachers, which is implemented on the teachers empowerment. The empowerment of the teachers program is implemented through engaging the teachers as decision maker and training them to be responsible for the school development through formulating program by teachers and school staffs. (2) the the principal strategy to improve the competence of teachers conducted through some efforts such as training the teachers and skill for the teachers, giving motivation and guiding discipline education. (3)the policy of the school head master in improving the teachers competence being carried out was by involving the teachers in arranging vision and mission, the school target, formulate the school curriculum. The school head master give the opportunity to the teachers to be actively participate, open minded, and cooperate in reaching the school vision.

Abstract

As educators in schools, teachers have some duties and responsibilities not only to teach, but also to administer the school. Islam gives an overview of the duties and responsibilities for teachers in educational administration. The purpose of this paper is to propose a logical consequence of the professionalism of teachers in Islamic education. The professional duties of teachers as administrators in Islamic Education among others are to run instructional management and management in general such as managing school, utilizing the procedures and mechanisms to carry out their duties and act in accordance with the professional ethics. Besides, they also have to create a good physical condition of classrooms and qualified teaching tool, prepare for daily teaching, create conducive conditions so that learners have willingness to learn, design a lesson plan quarterly and annually, prepare for teaching in accordance with the schedule and lesson plan, evaluate and make a report of students’ achievement to several parties, make some revision based on the results of the evaluation, get to know the talents, interests and abilities of students, help students to improve and direct the talents and interests of students, participate and maintain reputation of the institution and write a report of teaching and learning activities. All in all, teachers also have a responsibility given by Allah to do their best in teaching.

Abstract

School head master is one of factors in encouraging the school to reach its vision, mission, aim and target through the planned implemented program. The aim of the study is to know the leadership of the head master of the school in improving the teachers’ commitment, work motivation and obstacles experiencing by the school head master in improving the teachers’ performance at MAN Model Banda Aceh. The study used descriptive method. The data collection techniques were observations, interviews, and documentations. The subjects of this research were the head master of the school and the teachers of MAN Model Banda Aceh. The data analysis of this qualitative analysis shows that: (1) the leadership of the head master of the school in improving working commitment is through empowerment of the training teacher in accordance with their field, class supervision evaluation and interns routinely madrasah supervision, and give reward to outstanding teacher; ( 2 ) the school head master leadership in improving work motivation is through professionalism work guiding, evaluate the teacher learning program, consensus agreement in time discipline, and intern cooperation with the school head master and guiding teachers; (3) the head master leadership in improving discipline is through applying self discipline of school head master in order to be followed by teachers as the discipline being conducted by the school head master in fully self awareness without any coercion; (4) the obstacles faced by the school head master in improving the teacher performance is because of time restriction in carrying out classroom supervision, guiding professional teachers and evaluate the teachers teaching-learning process, as well as restricted fund allocation in MAN Model Banda Aceh.
