Abstract

This study is aimed to describe papers’ anatomy, language, and error. This research uses descriptive qualitative method that describes all elements related to the research objectives and literary methods. The data of this study is the anatomy of paper, the language of scientific articles, and errors found in scientific articles. The data sourcesare scientific articles which are submitted to the journal editor of Humanis, Humanitas, Penabastra, and Edu-Kata. Data are collected by scrutinizingmethods through jotting down technique. Dataanalysis is done qualitatively and interpreted by gathering all collected data, then reducing them and finally presenting the result. The anatomy of the paperconsist of title, authorshipline (the author's name and the name of the institution where the author works), abstract and keywords, content or text body, conclusions and suggestions, acknowledgement, and bibliography.Language used in paper applies an official language. The errors of paper writing are distinguished on anatomical errors (title, abstract, discussion, conclusions, citations and bibliography) and language errors (including paragraphs, sentences, diction, and spelling).

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to know the teachers and st udents activities, achievement and responses in writing story skill used caric ature media to the VIIC grade of Religion Junior High School State (MTs N) of Lamongan. The less uninterested students and strategies are the problems for students to get difficulties in writing skill. The researcher uses classroom action research design, the data analysis uses descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. The minimal standard mark of this subject is 75.00. The result finding shows the average mark, 56.002, in the first cycle that is categorized less mark. The i ncreasing of writing story shows in second cycle, it proves the average mark, 75.316, it means the significant increasing 19.314or 55.182%. Writing story skill that used caricature media can improve the students’ behavior to ready study more active, enthusiastic in joining the teaching learning process.

Abstract

This study was conducted in order to determine the ability of students to read intensively through contextual approach. to determine the extent to which students' reading abilities. meode used is the qualitative and quantitative methods for the study was conducted through the test process by looking at student work. This study uses classroom action research or PTK. This study was conducted at MTs Negeri 1 Bojonegoro class VIII A are 32 students sampled transform and research. Of the 32 children were divided into 8 groups with the number 1 group of 4 children. This studywas conducted on September 17, 2012 to October 30, 2012. In the pre-cycle in the form of discourse about teachers giving, students answer questions based on the discoursewas continued discussion in the form of class discussions, and intensive reading research results obtained by the average number of 66.37 or 66%. In the first cycle teachers began to apply a contextual approach to learning then students are given intensive reading about the discourse and to determine the increase after application of a contextual approach and the obtained results with the average amount of 80.46 or 80 average number of 88.12 or 88%. Learning outcomes intensive reading contextual approach suggests that the ability of students to understand the reading proved to increase, the increase is seen and the test results achieved by students at the pre-cycle with an average of 66.37 or 80.46 or 66% to 80% in Cycle I. While on cycle I previously with average 80.46 or 80% up to 88.12 or by 88%. In the second cycle based on the results achieved by students to increase reading skills to understand the content.

Abstract

This study is aimed to describe the planning , execution, and the problems of learning to write in grade V SDN in Kecamatan Solokuro, Kabupaten Lamongan. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, which describes all the elements associated with the planning, implementation, and problems in learning to write. This descriptive -qualitative procedure is done by conducting the procedure consisting the phases of pre-activity, ongoing activity, analysing the data and taking conclusion. The results indicate that in planning of teaching writing in general, teachers have made lesson plans, but there are still some weaknessesas seen in elements of (1) learning objectives and indicators, (2) learning materials, (3) teaching and learning process, and (4) learning method.In teaching writing, teachers apply the method of question and answer, discussion, and assignments. The problems appear in the method of learning being used: the students do not understand the writing mechanics (capital letters, punctuation, effective sentences and how to use correct spelling). To overcome the problems, the teacher must give sample or writing work sample before conducting teaching writing process.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to describe phoneme/spelling materials, materials of forms and kind of words, sentence materials, and paragraph/discourse material in the Indonesian language textbook at elementary school of Drokilo II. The collection of data is done by using writing method. The research data are aken from two Indonesian language textbook that are used at the fifth grade of elementary school, namely Bahasa Indonesia untuk Sekolah Dasar Kelas V” written by Umri Nuraini dan Indriyani and “Indahnya Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia untuk SD/MI Kelas V” written by H. Suyatno. The research result show both books cantain grammar material that consists of phoneme/spelling, forms/kind of words, sentences, and paragraph/discourse. Both books are relevance can be seen from the conformity between the materials in both books and basic competence in the curriculum.

Abstract

This study was conducted in order to describe the students' competence in using transformation sentence in Indonesian. Descriptive-quantitative method is applied to achieve the objectives of the study. The data source of this research is students’ essay of grade 5 MI Tahdzibiyah Gempolpading, Kecamatan Pucuk, Lamongan. The data are the transformation sentences transformations in it. The data collected by the test method, referring method , and the method of introspection. The results showed that the transformation phrase most used by students is compound sentence, while the least frequently used is the negative sentence. However, relating to the best grade, it is taken into account that the best result goes to negative sentences as the students reached 91, while the worst is the inversion sentence because the student reached only 47, and the most mistakes occurs at compound sentences.

Abstract

This study was conducted to gain the descriptionof the use of cohesion and coherence in student narratives. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data of this study is the narrative students of grade VIII at SMP 6 Bojonegoroin Academic Year 2012/2013 which involves 36 narratives. Data collection techniques used in this study covers test and referring technique. The results of this study indicate that in writing a narrative, students used the grammatical cohesion devices (reference types, substitutions, and conjunctions: coordinating and subordinating) , lexicalcohesion devices (kind of repetition and synonymy), and coherence devices (additive connective marker, marker of series connection/parallel, repetitive connecting marker/repetition, wholistic-sections, comparison, and results-conclusion).

Abstract

This study aims to explain the values of religiosity in the Cinta Suci Zahrana novel. Data of this study is Cinta Suci Zahrana novel which created by Habiburrahman El Shirazy that published in May of 2011. This study uses form of primary data and secondary data. Collection data of this technique are implemented with the documentation, reading, collecting, and writing (BST). Instrument of this study are the researcher and pieces of the data corpus. This study uses a qualitative method using the theory of religiosity to know the religious values in the Cinta Suci Zahrana novel whichcreated by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The results of this study as follows: the first, the values of faith which consist of : belief in the essential principal of faith, ridla 'with God, be afraid to God, and thanks to God for His abundant blessings. The second, the worship of mahdlah value consists of prayer and fasting. The third, the values of worship ghairu mahdlah consist of studying, prayer, alms, remember to Allah, ask forgiveness to Allah, and married. The fourth, the moral values to God consist of : belief that Allah is the only God in the world, pray fervently to God, expect the mercy of God, and good prejudiced to God. The Fifth, the moral values to others people consist of the morals of the family : be friendly, dutiful to parents, pray for parents, and take care to family members. And morals of society give mutual aid in good, friendship, remind others to do the truth, , keeping the promises, , establish the justice, give precedence to others interest, keep in unity, forgive others not be arrogant, take care to guests, calm in every situation, and always said the good thing. The Sixth, the moral values for the milieu are included care to the plants and kind to the animals.

Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) QL equation with less poetic novel characterizations LM, (2) differences in QL with a novel lyric characterizations LM, (3) Application of trassformasi hipogram happens in it. This study used a qualitative approach. Theoretical basis used is intertekstualitas theory, comparative literature, the concept of transformation of poetry into the novel. Source of data used is poetry Qais and Laila (QL) and Novel Layla Majnun (LM).Based on the analysis, obtained the following results. (1) Equation characterizations and poetic novel QL LM was shown both in figures and in the poem QL LM novel, has the same character, almost the same (slight change), and different. Drawn character is the same character or Syed Syed Omri, or Majnun Qais, Laila or Layla, Laila's father, Ibn Salam, Nawfal, the mother of Qais, Laila and mother of the hunter. Almost the same figure depicted is the camel and the rider,crowsandowls,andSalimAmiri.(2) The difference with the novel characterizations QL LM poem, there are some differences in the nature of which changes in character, not dimunculkannya existing character in the poem to the novel, and the addition of new characters in the novel. The main character in the poem and the novel there are eighteen (18). Eighteen of these figures do not all appear in the novel. Figures that appear in the poem does not appear on the QL but LM is novel, an old Bedouin, crows, beggars, the camel drivers, and Salim Amiri. Being figures that appear in the novel is the LM, the owl, the horseman, the hermit, Zayd and Salim. Shrinking figure is an old Bedouin and beggars. Moderate leaders who experienced the addition of Zayd and the hermit. (3) application of the results obtained in the transformationhipogram twenty-three hipogram transformed in the novel. Abstract

The purpose of this study are (1) to describe the diction in The Priyayi novel by Umar Kayam, (2) To describe the style of the sentence in The Priyayi novel by Umar Kayam, (3) To this style of figurative language in The Priyayi novel by Umar Kayam, (a) Describe the personification style, (b) describe the style Simile, (c) Describe the metaphor, (4) To describe aspects of the imagery in the novel The Priyayi by Umar Kayam, (5) To describe the rhetorical devices in novel The Priyayi by Umar Kayam. The research uses descriptive qualitative method-semoitik structuralism and hermeneutic techniques. This is done because analyzing a novel is hard to avoid the use of integrated methods so that it is impossible to use.The results First assessment functions at the levelof stylistic choice of words (diction elements) have a relationship with the characters and background. As the principle of structuralism, that there is relation between the elements, style (in this case the diction), characters, and relation between ground. Second, study the style of sentences back long sentences authors used primarily to describe the atmosphere. describes a state that is of nature, or describe characters. And the choice of using short sentences have the effect of simplicity. Third, study the style of figurative language (figurative) are purposely created to obtain the aesthetic effect to describe the background of the story. Fourth, the study of images in the novel The images contained Priyayi novel contains vision and color images of (local color) is usedto emphasize the background of story and aesthetically asspect so the reader as if saw for theirself. Fifth, in The Priyayinovel rhetorical devices use causees beauty or aesthetic effects and have with the storyline.
