Abstract

ABSTRACTThe ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) is one of the opportunities and challenges for Indonesia in facing this century of Asian economy. Indonesia has no choice to get involved in the globalization process and the increasingly competition in various fields. MEA will have an impact on the integration of the economic sector, even the education sector will also be affected by the possibility of foreign educational institutions which open classes of higher quality education in Indonesia. Business actors and academics are required to be able to formulate standards of professional competence in each sector. Efforts to improve the quality of human resources can be pursued by synergizing with the government. Improvement of the quality of human resources by improving teachers?? ability on soft skill in Islamic education is very important to compete in facing the MEA, which in turn can have result in quality education. Without a quality education, the hope of creating professional skilled qualified human resources will only be a hope. Keywords: Soft skill, Teachers, Islamic Education.

Abstract

ABSTRACTDiscussion in this study is directed to the three main studies, namely early childhood education, the position of early childhood education in the filed of Islamic education management study, and learning process of early childhood in accordance with the principles of Islamic education. Those studies above are described as follows. Early childhood education is a coaching efforts aimed at children from birth up to the age of six years done through the provision of educational stimulus to help improving physical and spiritual development so that children have readiness in entering the next level of education. Then the position of early childhood education in the study of Islamic education management becomes very important. Beside because of the development of the brain about the maximum absorption of children by the various stimuli provided by the environment, it is also inspired from the success of various units of education upward of it about the professional management of Islamic educational institutions that have brought about the achievements of parents and society. This is what must be prepared by early childhood institutions. Meanwhile, considering that early childhood education presents the concept of learning while playing, in which it is in accordance with their characteristic in being active in exploring the environment, so the implant of Islamic teachings as early as possible should be able to be implanted in their playing while learning process. Thus, the development and perfection of the potential abilities of children, such as language skills, social, emotional, motor, spiritual and intellectual, would be more guided. Keywords: urgency, early childhood education, Islamic education management.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe approach historically used for professional development for classroom educators, where the emphasis is on 'training' and not on 'learning' is, quite simply, outdated. Classroom action research ?? with its cyclical nature of systematic investigation of teaching and learning, followed by data-driven improvements resulting from the outcomes of the investigations ?? provides not only a viable, but also valuable, professional development alternative. Following the development of improvement goals, the process of action research can be used to customize a teacher's professional development, allowing for a much more meaningful approach to professional growth. This approach permits teachers to investigate their own practice and to discover what will and will not work for their students in their classrooms. The integration of classroom action research with professional collaboration and with teacher evaluation is both discussed.  Keywords: Classroom Action Research, Professional Development

Abstract

ABSTRCTIn shaping the child's personal or character, not as easy as turning the palm of the hand. Therefore through private education is good will be created or attached to the child??s soul. Beberapa methods used among other methods of customs, ideals and others. Now we see the phenomenon of smearing ethics in our education, both came from educators and learners, as Muslims we have been taught by the Koran on ethics and procedures for good learning. By digging the Koran in a letter al-Kahf verse 66-82 will unfold the moral teaching contained in these verses that can be implemented in education today. The roles and responsibilities of an educator is very heavy. Especially in the context of Islamic education, where all aspects of education in Islam is linked to values, to which see teachers not only on mastery of material knowledge, but also the cultivation of moral values and spiritual which is then transformed towards the formation of the personality of students. As the most basic component in Islam, educators are required to guide, train and familiarize the students to always behave well. Therefore, the existence of educators not only teach, but once put into practice the teachings and values of the teaching of Islam. Keywords : Islamic education, al-Qur??an, student and aducators.

Abstract

ABSTRACTListening is a critical component of effective communication and commonly regarded as the difficult skill by foreign language learners. Mostly, they find it difficult in understanding listening materials. They are still unable to comprehend or to understand the spoken words or phrases in the English. Thus, there are many factors affecting listening ability in mastering language. Metacognitive Awareness and Post Listening Feedback are used to find out the factors relating to students?? strategy use and their obstacles that they have experienced in comprehending spoken language. The research was designed quantitatively. The instruments for collecting data were Metacognitive Awareness Listening Questionnaire (MALQ) and a questionnaire of post listening feedback sheet. Participants of the study were fourteen English Education students at Univesitas Muhammadiyah Semarang in academic year 2015/2016. The findings indicated that the difficulties confronted by the learners are recognizing sounds, recognizing words, guessing word meaning, recognizing grammar patterns, working out what the speaker??s means. In addition, the reliability coefficient of MALQ calculated in this study was 0.79 with students?? metacognitve awareness comprising Problem solving with 4.4, Planning and evaluation with 3.70, Directed attention with 3.70, Directed attention with 3.0, Person knowledge with 2.60.  It can be concluded that the results can simply help instructors to find out the appropriate strategies and draw their attention to various information from students?? difficulties to help their students increase their listening ability to comprehend spoken English. Keywords: Metacognitive Awareness, Post Listening Feedback, and EFL Listening Activities

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe course of Bahtsul Kutub 1, as one of the supporting courses of the study program PAI, provides the provision of the ability to understand Islamic education and understand the character of diversity of Sunni Islam through the understanding of Arabic texts with the provision of vocabulary mastery and sentence structur patterns. The results of research in this article describes the quality of teaching materials in the form of textbooks for the subject of Bahtsul Kutub 1 which is used as a lecture material in the study program PAI FTIK Unisnu Jepara. The technique of developing this textbook is through four stages, namely planning, organizing, executing and evaluating. Content of the book is complemented with vocabulary meanings and examples of translation model of sentence pattern. The result of the reviewer??s score indicated that the book is categorized Good with an average score of 43.8 with high criterion level on the truth and conceptual variables. This is shown in the test results of practicality by students with an average score of 106.1 which shows the criteria Very Good which means practical for being used in learning process. Keywords: development, textbook, Bahtsul Kutub

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study is aimed at determining the effectiveness of Zuriah-based leadership in improving teacher performance. This research is a case study on Islamic education foundation Miftahul Huda Jepara. This study uses Qualitative Descriptive approach to find how significant leaderhip model based on Zuriah is related to teacher performance. The method used is observation, interview and questionnaire.
