Abstract

Lake (situ) is one of the aquatic ecosystems that serves as a reservoir of water resources derived from rainwater and from stream flow. Kemuning lake is one of 94 situ in Bogor Regency that located in Sudi Mampir sub Village, Cimanggis Village, Bojonggede District. Kemuning lake potential consists of lake, duck-like rides, teak stands, stretch of weeds, the starfruit tunnel, birds chirping and fishes. The results of the calculation of ecotourism resource assessment shows that the starfruit tunnel occupies the highest potential sequence with a mean value of 5.0, while based on assessment assessors shown the potential that has the highest average value of the lake with an average value of 5.3. Development strategy based on SWOT analysis result shown that Kemuning Situ occupies SO strategy (strength opportunity) with internal factor value 1.53 and external factor value 1.05. In order to support the realization of the Bogor Regency government program which has the tagline "Cibinong City Front Situ" then made Site Plan Kemuning lake area.

Abstract

Forests are one of the great natural resources of its role in various aspects of life both economic aspects, social, development and forest environment and its ecosystem as the basis of national development capital with the diversity of flora and fauna that can provide benefits for human life. One effort to support the balance of natural ecosystems and economic needs is the formation of community forests, aimed at increasing the income and welfare of the people. This can be seen from the existence of traditional folk forests in the effort of the community itself without the intervention of the government (pure self-help), either in the form of one species plant (pure forest), or with the pattern of agroforestry. The purpose of knowing about the potential and condition of community forest, and the amount of revenue contribution from the result of community forest management is compared with Minimum Regional Wage (UMR) Bogor Regency. Methods in this study using survey approach and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by using systematic sampling with random start with 20% sampling intensity. The result of research on the potential of community forest stands is 1.213,586 m3, derived from Sengon, Jabon, Acacia, Mahogany and Jati. The contribution of peasant forest income is on average 29,88% compared to UMR value of Bogor Regency.

Abstract

The issue of deforestation and forest degradation in Indonesia led to allegations of illegal logging practices against Indonesian timber products on the world market , so the stakeholder initiative to boost market confidence returning to the Indonesian wood products . Awareness of domestic industry actors against SVLK is still minimal.  Perception of actors who own S-LK is to gain the trust of customers, improve customer loyalty and ideals, have the legal recognition of the government's efforts, increase the value of its product, reducing the unofficial levies. While the perception of actors who do not have S-LK is their expensive cost factor, ordinances S-LK -making procedures are complicated, and does not know the procedure of making S–LK

Abstract

The objective of this research is to get Index of species diversity and habitat habitat characteristic in Garunggang Cave in July 2017.  The method used is the method of moving observation and time search. A total of 302 individuals consisting of 5 groups of taxa found in Cave of Garunggang (entrance 3). Species diversity in Cave of Garunggang in relatively medium condition (1 <H '<3) with value of diversity index (H') 1,9 based on variable of diversity type using Shannon-Wiener index. Based on its dominance there are 6 faunas that dominate, namely Hipposideros galeritus, Karstarma jacobsoni, Rhaphidophora Sp, Stygophrynus dammermani, Long leg spiders, and Small spiders. The fauna inside the Cave of Garunggang has a unique habitat such as on the floor, walls and roof of the cave. Cave Garunggang is a horizontal cave with a cave mouth circumference of about 3.7 meters and aisle length about 209 meters. This cave is karst cave (limestone). The diameter of the alley of the cave varies with underground rivers with stone and soil substrate and clear watery. The hallway inside the cave is branched off with several ornaments. In the rainy season the aisles become full of water and become a large underground river, evidenced by the presence of litter on the walls and roof of the cave that was carried by the water during the rainy season. The habitat characteristic of the exokarst Cave of Garunggang is known that the Cave of Garunggang has four zones within it, ie bright zone (cave mouth), transition zone, dark zone and total dark zone. At the bright zone (cave mouth) the temperature ranges from 31.8 ° C - 29.9 ° C, the humidity (Rh) ranges from 67.7% - 76.2% and the light intensity ranges from 475.3 - 848 Lux. At the temperature transition zone ranging from 30.4 ° C - 32.2 ° C, the humidity (Rh) ranges from 72.8% - 77.7%, the light intensity shows 0 Lux and the pH indicator shows the number 7 (normal water). In the dark zone the temperature ranges from 31.4 ° C - 30.4 ° C, the humidity (Rh) ranges from 77.1% - 79.1%, the light intensity shows 0 Lux and the pH indicator shows the number 6 (normal water). The final zone is a total dark zone with temperatures ranging from 30.1 ° C - 30.8 ° C, the humidity (Rh) ranges from 79.7% - 79.2%, the light intensity shows 0 Lux, and the pH indicator shows the number 6 (normal water).

Abstract

Timber harvesting in Jati Unggul Nusantara (JUN) plantation forest at the Nusa Bangsa University Garden has entered the age of ripening, therefore the harvesting is already necessary. The cost of harvesting JUN production is still currently not available, especially for the costs of logging, skidding, and stump cleaning. The cost of these are very much needed as to determine the business feasibility of the JUN. The aims of this study are to calculate the cost of producing logging, skidding and stump cleaning of JUN arrears in the Cogreg experimental garden of Nusa Bangsa University. The method used is a field observation method, as it’s to describe and explain the production activities. The quantitative approach is the approach that taken by record and analyze the research data. The result shows that the average production cost of logging was Rp. 92,406.91 / m3, while the extraction costs Rp. 130,000.42 / m3, and production costs for arrears cleaning Rp. 80,002.31. So that the total production cost of logging, skidding, and cleaning of arrears are Rp. 30,409.64 / m3.

Abstract

In East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) area there are many Gewang trees (Corypha utan LAMK.). Many people in NTT use Gewang midrib as components of home buildings such as walls and ceilings. But the building components of the Gewang midribs contain ingredients that have the potential to be attacked by organisms such as termites. To overcome this, preservation action is needed. On the other hand there are several types of toxic forest flora that are recommended as sources of vegetable preservatives including Tuba (Derris elliptica BENTH.). Meanwhile, there has not been much research on preservation for gewang midribs. Therefore this study aims to determine the effectiveness of vegetable preservatives from Tuba for preservation of Gewang midribs through extraction at the temperature of the boiling point of the solvent. Extraction of Tuba plants was carried out using a solvent of Acetone, Methanol and Water each at the boiling point temperature for 1 hour in a ratio of 1: 8. The results showed that through GCMS analysis and preservative effectiveness testing through soil termite tests indicated that the extraction method used in this study resulted in no sufficient amount of active ingredients to be used as vegetable preservatives or able to preserve gewang midribs. The results of this study recommended that in order to obtain active ingredients from Tuba plant extracts as vegetable preservatives to preserve gewang midribs, it is not recommended to extract these plants using extraction methods as was done in this study. Instead, to obtain active ingredients from Tuba plant extracts, it is recommended to try to extract using methanol at room temperature for 72 hours in a ratio of 1: 5.
