Abstract

Crustacean catches in Panmuti Beach, including white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) and swimming crab, are commodities with high economic value. This certainly increases the demand for both commodities, but the fulfillment of market needs is faced with various problems. One of them is the emergence of disease by parasite infection. The purpose of this research is to identify the types and determine the prevalence of parasites that infect these Crustaceans. Parasite identification was carried out at the Kupang Fish Quarantine, Quality Control and Fishery Product Safety Center. The samples observed were white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) and swimming crab in live condition. The results obtained in the white shrimp sample contained one type of parasite, namely Chilodonella sp. with a prevalence of 20%. In swimming crab samples there is one type of parasite, Octolasmis sp. with a prevalence of 100%.  The results of this study can be used as information on product quality control and efforts to prevent and spread disease by parasites.

Abstract

Batang Regency is located on the North Coast of Central Java, with geographical coordinates between 6°51'46" - 7°11'47" South Latitude and 109°40'19" - 110°03'06" East Longitude. This study aims to determine fisheries statistics, analyze business feasibility, and identify environmentally friendly fishing gear and strategies for managing fishing efforts. The method used in this research is purposive sampling. In addition, the method of interviewing social respondents was used. Methods of data analysis using business feasibility analysis, descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach, and SWOT. The results of this study included: an increase in the number of fishing gear indicating the intensity of fishing trips and the number of catches; gill net capture fisheries business with financial analysis obtained a PP value of 0.67 and an NPV value of Rp. 178,467,972, - the Net B/C value obtained was 5 and the IRR value obtained was 117%; environmentally friendly fishing gear based on the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF) gets a score of 30 and shows that gill net fishing gear is classified as environmentally friendly fishing gear; and there are gill net fishing gear management strategies such as increasing fishing activities, stabilizing the price of fish caught, developing port facilities, fostering the use of business management fishing technology and diversifying catches in the utilization of natural resource potential.

Abstract

Fertilizers commonly used in Spirulina sp. are walne, zarrouk, or guillard. However, the use of these fertilizers has several constraints, including the relatively expensive price, and requires quite a lot of nutrient solution composition in its manufacture. This problem is the reason for the search for alternative fertilizers for Spirulina sp. This study intends to provide information regarding the use of a combination of inorganic fertilizers from urea, plant catalyst, and GA with rice washing water as an alternative fertilizer which has a high nutritional content and can be used for Spirulina sp. it is followed by optical detachment analysis, water quality analysis, yield analysis, proximate analysis. The results of the study showed that the combination of inorganic fertilizers with rice washing water had a positive effect on the value of optical density with the fifth day of harvesting culture and proximate analysis of Spirulina sp. with the best treatment at P2 (1% inorganic fertilizer and 3 mL/L rice washing water) with culture water quality values in optimum conditions at a temperature of 29°C, pH 8 and salinity 19 ppt with an average yield of wet biomass, protein, fat, water, ash, and carbohydrates respectively 3.27 ±0.65, 5.42%, 1.62%, 88.54%, 3.22%, and 1.20%.

Abstract

This study aims to map fishing areas based on the operating coordinates of fishing gear. The research was carried out in two coastal districts, namely in Kajuara waters (Kajuara is on the south coast of Bone Bay at coordinate 5°06′39.77″–5°02′17.40″S and 120°27′03.46″ –120°30′37.74″E) and Lamuru waters (Lamuru is on the north coast of Bone Bay at coordinate 4°26′37.85″–4°20′49.52″S and 120°27′03.54″–120°34′06.58″E). The type of survey is taking a sample from one population and using a questionnaire as much 111 respondents, consisting of 65 respondents from Kajuara and 46 respondents from Lamuru. Answer the research objectives using Global Positioning System, satellite Citra (Google Earth Pro), percentage analysis (%) and total revenue analysis (TR). In Kajuara waters, there are seven types of fishing gear operating, four fishing zones, 11–18 types of catch, total catch is 335 kg/trip. In Lamuru waters; there are six types of fishing gear operating, five fishing zones, 4–16 types of catch, total catch is 290 kg/trip. Fishing gear in zone three Kajuara (fishing area at coordinates 5°06'43.41"- 5°02'07.61"S and 120°21'11.68”- 120°23'07.24E); lift nets, fishing rods and purse seines; in zone five (fishing area at coordinates 4°28'19.50"- 4°15'25.68"S and 120°27'03.54"- 120°34'06.58"E) the waters of Lamuru boat lift net and boat lift net cungkil (gouge) are the zones (fishing area) with the greatest potential and production value.

Abstract

Jatibarang Reservoir is located in Semarang City and has fisheries potential so the condition of water quality is important to know. Water quality monitoring can be known by analyzing the trophic status. The purpose of this study was to determine the spatial description of water quality parameters including secchi disk transparency, total phosphorus and chlorophyll-a concentration and also the distribution of trophic status in Jatibarang Reservoir. The study used a descriptive analysis method using Landsat-8 OLI (Operational Land Imager) and Sentinel-2A MSI (Multi Spectral Index) satellite image data to determine trophic status and field data as accuracy test. Data collection was carried by 7 stations. Analysis of data accuracy using standard error method and trophic status using Carlson Index. The results obtained for each parameter in the Landsat-8 OLI image are brightness 0.30, total phosphorus 0.74 and chlorophyll-a 1.41 while the regression results for the Sentinel-2A MSI are brightness 0.29, total phosphorus 0, 17 and chlorophyll-a 0.60. Sentinel-2A MSI is better for estimating trophic status parameters than Landsat 8 OLI. The brightness field ranged from 0.22 to 0.32 meters, total phosphorus from 0.13 to 0.24 mgL-1 and chlorophyll-a ranged from 2.30 to 3.79 mgL-1. The value of Carlson's trophic status in Jatibarang Reservoir ranges from 58.76 to 63.21 which is included in the mild to moderate eutrophic fertility level.

Abstract

Lemuru is one of the abundant marine food in Banyuwangi and is used as raw material for canned fish. The production of lemuru (Sardinella lemuru) catches reaches 160 tons in 2023 based on data obtained from UPT PPP Muncar. and produces about 30-40% of the total weight of fish waste, which is around 48-64 Tons which has not been utilized optimally.head of fish is one of waste and can use as material in making food products. This research aimed to determine the chemical characteristics of  Sardinella lemuru head meal. The research method of chemical characteristics used was proximate analysis including moisture content by gravimetric method, protein conten by kjeldhal methodt, fat content by soxhlet method, ash content by dry ashing method and carbohydrate by different. The proximate content of lemuru head meal was 3,34% of moisture content, 19,76% of protein, 34,86% of  fat, 17,85% of ash and 24,19% of carbohydrate content.
