Abstract

Basic thought of this research was begun from communication ability of hearing impairment child at SLB-B X. This communication can be understood by people and the child can get one’s message through speaking. The purpose of this research is to know language learning of hearing impairment child of TLO class at SLB-B X Jakarta with MMR method. This research used qualitative approach with case study as a strategy. Data collections were done by interview, observation and documentation. The data were analyzed by interactive model through data reduction, data display, data conclusion, and data verification. The result of research shows that teachers of TLO SLB-B X have good comprehension of condition and language acquisition of hearing impairment. They also have implemented language learning with MMR principles and have done language stimulation to children through BPBI and Bina Wicara implementation. Language learning at TLO class is supported by school policies .

Abstract

This research aims to improve speaking skills through watching videos kids children stories of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Islam Al-Fattah, Wanasari Village, Bekasi regency.The methodology uses a classroom action research which conduct through two cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects are 10 children in group B who have problems with aspects of speech. Data collection techniques use non-test consists of observation, interview, and documentation. The analysis techniques use two paradigms that is mean, medium, modus, proportion study with a minimum percentage increase to 71% for quantitative paradigm, and data reduction, data display, conclusion/verification for qualitative paradigm.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop the speaking ability of 5-6 years’ children at the Kindergarten of Islam Al-Fattah in Wanasari Village, Bekasi District by watching video. The research applied classroom action research within two cycles. Each cycles consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the research included ten children of B group who have speaking ability problems. The data were collected using no-test instruments such as observation, interview, and document study. The data were analyzed employing qualitative and quantitative paradigm. The result of the research show that using video can improve the children speaking ability.

Abstract

This study aims at describing the social skills of 4-5 years’ children in learning center model. The study took place at Raudhatul Athfal (RA) of Istiqlal, Central Jakarta and focused on learning social skills of 4-5 years’ children on the basics of adaptation skill, cooperative skills, sharing skill, and communication skills. As a qualitative study, the data were collected by direct observation, interviewing teacher and headmaster, and documentation. The result of the study provided the description social skills of the 4-5 years children in the four aspects predetermined before.

Abstract

Reading interest can be develop through planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating a program of creating and developing reading interest in the community as well as at school. This study attempted to develop reading interest of University Student at the State University of Jakarta, particularly at PGSD FIP UNJ. Creating a model of developing library to establish reading culture, this study applied the model to the student. At the end of the study it was found that the model is effective to develop students’ reading interest and habbit and also improve their learning achievement simultaneously.

Abstract

The research aims at analyzing the quality of students’ critical thinking and self-learning abilities by applying generative learning method in the subject of Algebra Structure at Mathematics Education Study Program of STKIP PGRI Lubuk Linggau. The variable of the research was the result of generative learning approach to improve critical thinking and self-learning abilities in the subject of Algebra Structure at Mathematics Education Study Program of STKIP PGRI Lubuk Linggau. The research objects were 23 students of the fifth semester class in Mathematic Education Study Program of STKIP PGRI Lubuk Linggau the year of 2009/2010. Research method applied was quasi experiment, with experiment class treated with generative learning method and without control class. The research result showed that in general, the critical thinking and self-learning abilities of Algebra Structure Subject had the mean of 75.90 (with minimum score of 70) meaning, the critical thinking and self-learning abilities of the students were generally in high level. Whereas the analysis result of variants test was t-count =3.954 and t-table (dk =22, á =1%) = 2,508. It showed that the critical thinking and self-learning abilities of the students with generative learning approach in the subject of Algebra Structure at Mathematics Education Study Program of STKIP PGRI Lubuk Linggau was above the score of 70.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the learning skills of the students at the Curriculum and Educational Technology Department. The study is classified as a descriptive inquiry applying survey technique. The data were collected using a set of questioner with five alternative choices: Always, Often, Sometimes, seldom, and never. Fifty out of 397 student were chosen as samples using incidental sampling technique. The data were analyze quantitavely using simple statistics technique. The result of the study indicates, the learning skills of the students categorized good with the average score of 74,29% covering routine learning activities and preparation for examination.

Abstract

This study aims at obtaining empirical data about student perceptions on the facilities of Indonesian web based learning at www.courses.web-bali.net developed by the Study Program of Educational Technology, School of Education, State University of Jakarta, and providing input to administrators and policy makers in its development. This study used survey methods of descriptive type. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires directly to 36 students selected as samples of 2008 academic years students who used www.courses.web-bali.net in semester 091 for Management of Information System course. Based on the data and analysis the study concluded that the student perceptions of Web Based Learning is catagorized good.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify students’ perception of the supervisors’ interpersonal communication in guiding the students to complete scientific writing as a requirement to complete their study program at the Department of Psychology, School of Education, State University of Jakarta. As samples, 30 students were selected with incidental technique. The result of the research showed that the students have positive perception of their supervisors’ interpersonal communication. It was stated that the supervisors are fair, empathy, supporting, helpful, having positive attitude and tolerant. No students found problems in communication with the supervisor and fell the supervisors were able to develop a good intrapersonal communication.

Abstract

Instructional material is one of teh important learning resources in teaching and learning process. However, the course of The Development of Primary School Age Children at the Department of Primary School Teacher Education, School of Education, State University of Jakarta, has not a reference which can be used as a main text book. This research, therefore, developed a text book to meet the need. Applying research and development method introduce by Borg and Gal and tried out, this research has produce a main text book that has proved a high readability and signifiacnt to the course. It was also found out that the text book produce is able to motivate the students to learn and has improved the students’ learning achievement.
