<![CDATA[The problem in this research is how the use of media biographies can improve the ability to write free verse in class VIII MTs NU Bannerman Sari East OKU District. This study aims to improve the ability to write free verse through the medium of biography. The subjects were students of class VIII MTs NU Bannerman Sari totaling 34 students. This research is a class act carried out in three cycles. Data collection techniques used are tests and observation. The use of biographical media can improve the ability to write free verse class VIII MTs NU Bannerman Sari East OKU District each cycle is the first cycle had an increase of 23.53%, in the second cycle an increase of 26.47% from cycle 1 and cycle 3 had an increase of 29.41% from cycle 2 with an increasing average of 23.81%. <![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is the influence of mastering the theory study of poetry, the motivation of the ability to write poetry. The hypotheses are: (1) there is significant relationship between motivation to learn and the ability to write poetry, (2) there is a significant relationship between mastery of the theory of poetry and the ability to write poetry, (3) there is a significant relationship between having motivation to learn, mastery of the theory of poetry the ability to write poetry. The study population was 9th grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Palembang .1. These samples included 40 students. Instrument of this study was a form of objective tests, written tests and questionnaires. The results of this study indicated that there is significant influence between having motivation to learn, mastery of the theory of poetry on the ability to write poetry. The influence was 96.5%. <![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to improve listening skills on folklore through contextual learning approach to 5th grade students at SD N 16 Air Saleh Banyuasin district. The research method used classroom action research (PTK). The subjects in this study were the students of 5th grade at SD N 16 Air Saleh totaling 28 people. Data collection techniques were done in the form of observational research, documentation and testing. Data analysis techniques of observation and listening skills tests of folklore. Based on data analysis was shown that students were succeed in listening folklore in the second cycle that has reached 85%, which means learning to listen to folklore through contextual learning approach in the second cycle has been successful or otherwise meet the criteria established. Based on the results of the study concluded that there is an increased ability to listen to folklore through contextual learning approach in 5th grade students at SD N 16 Air Saleh Banyuasin district. <![CDATA[This research examines Senjang as the Oral Tradition Musi Banyuasin South Sumatra. This study used qualitative research with the ethnographic approach. The results showed that the oral tradition of Senjang is as media forms of cultural arts that connect parents with young generation or it can be also between the society and government in delivering the aspiration such as the advice, criticism or even the delivery strategy of happiness feeling. Some attempts have been made to preserve, utilize and develop Senjang tradition through schools, galleries and arts tradition festival. <![CDATA[The problems in this paper were (1) how the cultural elements contained in Novel Gajah Mada Oath in Manguntur works Langit Kresna Hariadi (2) how the characters in the novel Sumpah Gajah Mada in Manguntur work Kresna Hariadi sky. The purpose of this study was describe the cultural elements and characters. The method used descriptive analytic method. Based on the results of this study concluded that the novel Sumpah Gajah Mada in Manguntur contain many elements of culture, especially Javanese culture in the era of the Majapahit Kingdom as reflected through the various series of events in the novel. The element of trust towards various things like believing in the power of dreams and believing in the magical powers that are found in a variety of series of stories. So also in other cultural elements such as information technology becomes an interesting fact that in the era of the Majapahit empir, pigeons and gong used as a means of information. <![CDATA[This study aimed to describe the values of religiosity in the novel Tuhan, Maaf Engkau Kumadu by Aguk Irawan MN. This type of research is qualitative. Metode yang used in this research is the method deslriptif. The results of this study are as follows: First, religious values associated with Qalb or liver (which has the pleasure principle) which is reflected from the main character is that Ridho is a young man who greatly admired her idol Nisa. He always thought of Nisa every second of it, it makes Ridho feel happy. Because kept thinking and shadowing Nisa through dreams regardless of his Lord. Second, Fuad is feeling the most in the so-called conscience, which serves as a store of memory. Fuad demonstrated by Ridho who underwent a drastic change in his life. Now he is getting misguided souls burning would love to Nisa that led to the injury because only love is unrequited. Third, the ego aspect demonstrated by Ridho when he was uniting between feelings of love and compassion through the pieces out as a form hubb (love) to Nisa. Selfishness is done the main character just thinking of the girl regardless of the people around him. And the fourth, aspects of behavior shown by Ridho as the main character is less normal and can not be in the logic of reason. Keywords: value, religiosity, novel]]>

<![CDATA[This study wants to answer about the correlation between the ability to understand the features and capabilities to determine what kind of rhymes with the ability to write rhymes of students in class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam. The purpose of this study was to describe the correlation between the ability to understand the features and capabilities to determine what kind of rhymes with the ability to write rhymes of students in class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam. This study used a descriptive and correlation method. The results of data analysis research concluded, that there is a significant correlation of the ability to understand the characteristics and capabilities to determine what kind of rhymes with the ability to write rhymes of students in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam. The hypothesis shown that there is a significant correlation between the understanding of the characteristics and capabilities to determine what kind of rhymes with the ability to write rhymes of students in class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam that proven true.
